Figured we’d lose because of the sad fg rate first half. These boys gotta bring back that w6 streak energy. Time to roll over chumps, my dudes. Surprise us, Magic! I mean, a good surprise, yeah?
Not sure it would have mattered the way we shot it but it’s so annoying that Isaac didn’t play tonight. He had 8 days off and played one game and needs to sit? He plays like 15 min a night for god sake.
But, for real, do you think that Goga will get minutes in this team? Or he won’t be a rotation player?
Poor effort for a team that said it wants to make a run at the play-in.
Personally, an L wasn’t the worst thing thing in the world, especially to the Pacers. A chance at Victor or Scoot trumps what seems to be a slim chance at the play-in, at least to me.
That being said, don’t like how we lost. That was some terrible basketball all around.
I’m honestly fine with this season, improved on wins and will have 2 solid picks, hopefully in top 10. We obv need shooters, rim protectors and rebounders. Let’s get them Somehow. 4th seed next year for sure!
NBA in 2023 is simple. You need shooting. This team has basically nobody you can count on outside of Harris on a night to night basis, and even he was off tonight.
Fultz is fun, one of my favorites on the team, but he is going to limit the cap of the offense.
WCJ is up and down in terms of looking like a Jokic-stopper and then nights like tonight where he just looks like the Bulls version of himself that got him shipped out.
Paolo needs to start hitting threes. I don’t know what else to say. Glad he was more aggressive.
Franz needs Moe’s unabashed confidence and ball hog tendencies.
Our backup bigs are bad. Isaac is the best out of them all and he’s still shaking the rust off. Bol sucks and Moe W is sneakily just as bad.
Suggs isn’t a PG but is disruptive, still plays out of control though. Cole is probably the most ideal bench guy in general on the whole team, funnily enough. I think Isaac should be a starter next year.
Watch we beat New Orleans by 15 on Monday and get the fanbase’s hopes up again…lol
Why didn’t Chuma play? He suited up
I have said it whole season. This Magic squad is a playoff/playin team right now if this coach was not so incompetent. Why does he keep playing Bol/Moe together. Why does the coaching staff keep playing Dell at the 5.
There are legitimate stats that show that he(Mosley) is doing everything wrong. Like this coach is so terrible and it’s not me being edgy or reacting to a bad loss or joking (I am being real serious).
There is no reason Bol should ever be on the court especially with the players assembled on this team who are all mostly slashers/playmakers that need a defending shooting big (like JI, like Mo, and from what I can see like Goga). Its legitimately causing this team to lose games. Moe/Bol should also never be played as a combo alone without another actual center with them and even if they have an actual center with them I dont like the combo.
Its really ridiculous the amount of bad moves this coach makes that many fans just glance over. If we are tanking I can understand but the players look upset after the losses (probably the best actors in the NBA), the coach seems to be transparent in interviews, and the team continues to talk about making it to the playins/playoffs. So I can only assume that this team/FO/Coaching staff are just incompentent with their asset management.
I dont want anybody to think this is just me being a mad “Mo” fan (since I am just a sincere fan but the way this team treated Mo this year is honestly atrocious and they should be investigated for tanking) since I truly think these FO decision makers, coaching staff, and anybody who has a hand in making lineup adjustments and deciding on minutes need to be fired.
Bol is a detriment the whole season showed that. And please dont tell me about the stretch in which we had Paolo, Franz, or Cole/Mo going off and looking like stars that allowed Bol to generally end with an ok p/m. I know this is his rookie year essentially, but the guy is a blackhole. I am willing to give any player the time to develop but Bol doesnt show anything most nights and the times he tries to show something it backfires or its a quick cool move that is more for a single highlight and not really a game changer. More often than not he is just standing around. The guy is skinny somewhat quick and a decent layup finisher but he never cuts or goes for lobs. He prefers to hang around a 3pt line that he will never shoot from. Its ridiculous.
Goga is getting the Mo treatment, completely came in, did his job, was a positive factor both ends of the floor, a good plus/minus but sidelined for Moe (who imo has positives and imo should see minutes regularly but isnt a set core player imo and Bol- who should be in the Gleague). I truly rather Caleb, KH, Chuma, Goga, all over Bol. I am actually also preferring Admiral. I dont hate Bol truthfully, I want him to be the star that many of us hope he can be but right now he doesnt deserve these minutes and he is actually negatively impacting his teammates and team by the way he plays and his lack of usefulness. I truly think that if Mo was starting or at least getting the minutes that Bol was getting the whole season this team not only wins more but they are a top team right now. Mo had the best p/m on this team, best defensive stats for the center candidates, best offensive stats for the center candidates, best differentials for a big.
This coach keeps flopping with his linueps. Goga imo replaces Bol right now and I truly want to see more minutes of Caleb or Chuma. Honestly I rather Gary get benched or be used on occasion and put Franz at the 2, with Goga at the 5, JI at backup 5, Caleb (my preference) or Chuma with consistent backup 3 minutes, and Moe as the 4 splitting with the losing backup 3. It fits so much better this way. Gary has been great but I truly think its a winning lineup with these changes since it allows more spacing with rim protection on every rotation.
I don’t think this team is making the play in. They just can’t be consistent enough to win and beat teams they need to beat.
Assiest game I’ve watched all season
I didn’t watch tonight, how in the hell does WCJ go 1-14 from the field? I’m not sure even Paolo has put up a shooting night that bad and half of the dude’s shots are these off the dribble pull ups he shouldn’t be taking.
Look at the bright side guys…. We might get a little closer to the play in next year!

i agree i can see why there are rumors about fvv. he is a better player than fultz and would help this team in the short term make the play offs cause teams would actually have to guard him. future is still very bright just have to upgrade guard position mostly the pg position. harris suggs is fine at sg
Barely beating Detroit and then getting thumped by this pacers team should but to rest anyone’s hopes of a play in. The BEST thing we can do the rest of this season is make sure we don’t fall any further than 5th best lottery odds. We NEED Scoot or Wemby.

Some big decisions to make for this team in the near future. We just have too many average-to-bad shooters, and feels like we have to work extra hard to be in/win games on a nightly basis. Our current make-up isn’t conducive to being a winning team.
I’ve really come around on Fultz in the past few months, but I still don’t see how he can coexist with Paolo and Franz long-term.
Hell, I even wonder if Paolo and Franz can coexist. The main difference is that there is hope that one (or both) of them will become a decent shooter, but with Fultz it simply isn’t happening.
