I got the call this morning, that last night my grandma passed away unexpectedly. One of the kindest, strongest, most sincere people. She will be missed dearly. Ever since I can remember, she has had notebooks where she wrote out our schedule, and documented every game’s outcome. The win against the Thunder was the last game she got to watch. Today I inherited her notebook, and tonight I will pick up where she left off. Needless to say, tonight’s going to be a tough one for me. Let’s go Jazz.

What an awesome lady. I am sorry for your loss and I hope you find relief and solace in continuing her tradition and letting her legacy live on forever.

  3. No. You can’t do this to me. Loved her dedication. I’ll have a few beers in her honor during the game tonight. RIP man condolences to your fam.

Sorry for your loss. My grandma passed away in 2018 and she was a huge Jazz fan. She lived behind us growing up so every jazz game I’d go down to watch with her. She was a loyal fan until she passed at 95 years old and would call her friend(also 90+) after every game to discuss the outcome. Some of my fondest memories. Thanks for sharing her/your story.

Something about the Jazz and grandmas. My Gma was a huge fan too. Who was her favorite player? We had a rabid Matt Harpring fan over here.

I watched many games with my grandma before she passed. She’d always mute the commercials and tell me stories. Priceless memories.

This was the first post I saw when r/UtahJazz was recommended on my page and now this is the second. Your grandmother was awesome. I wish you nothing but peace during this time.
