The draft lottery is still three months away.

Unless you’re still in grade school, we’ve been among the most spoiled fanbases in all sports for over two decades. Knock it off!

    C’mon – I get the sentiment.

But Spurs fans have probably been one of the most fortunate in the league, not only over the last 25 years, but the duration of the teams existence: 5 championship, 22 straight playoff appearances, only missed playoffs 9 times in 55 years. And the last time we were far out of reach of the playoffs (and only for a single season, mind you) we got a top 6-10 player of all time to show for it.

Even with how bad we have been this year, chances are we wont get Wemby or Scoot. That’s just pure maths.

And if we don’t? No need to talk about “grief”. Leave that talk for the real hard-done by fan bases like the Kings, Hornets, Timberwolves etc. We have a GOAT level coach, a pretty good front office, and have shown that we are still good at developing talent. We can miss out on the top talent and still be “fine” (IMO 2 or 3 years of top 6ish picks and we should be able to build a contender again). Some other teams could get those top 2 guys and still fuck it up.

We “tanked” once then we proceeded to get the first pick, drafted a top 10 GOAT, won 5 rings and made the playoff for more than 20 years straight.

We are not made for this I’m not even made to watch this current team every other day.

I have no hope, I’m trying to hype myself about the 6th pick.

That Hornets win was huge. I like 5-6 guys quite a bit. Obv hoping for top 2 but really no matter where we land we’re gonna have another huge building piece.

Also Branham coming alive has made all of this much better. I already know Sochan and Vassell are legit.

I’m neutral at this point so I’m trying not get my hopes up too high.

  8. The spurs didn’t miss the playoffs for like 20 straight years, tf you going on about? If you want to talk about grieving as a sports fan ik what it’s like, I’m a jags fan

  9. Everything we’re going through is just normal for an NBA franchise, no team can be competitive forever. We should be glad we’re doing it the smart way and just hope it lasts as few years as possible (part of it depends on luck)
