  1. >But things have gone south since, coincidentally timed with a report Williams is seeking up to $20 million annually, per Marc Stein.

    >That figure is considered premature and a target number has not been established internally yet as he has focused on the season, league sources with knowledge of Williams’ thinking told The Athletic. **Williams’ representatives and the team discussed an extension before the season that could have reached the low-$50 million range over four seasons but could not agree on the guarantee structure, league sources with knowledge of the negotiations said.**

Is this implying they could not agree on a contract due to disagreements on incentives?

If so, uh wow, curious what they were then

Hopefully, his muscles improve and the inflammation reduces. That seems like a very annoying, nagging ailment that can mess with shooting mechanics

Jared also put some good information (clips and stats) to showcase the difference of what’s been happening before the ASB and after it. Hopefully they fix it soon.

It’s pretty crazy how quickly the fan base turned on this guy

Oh! How conventient.. let’s make up an injury cuz grant has forgotten how to shoot in hopes of still getting him that $20 million dollar contract 😒he’s worth 12 mil a year tops, even that is pushing it..

  4. Dudeman-Jack

Here is an idea. Stop playing until your shooting elbow is healed

Grant asking him to leak this is sad. His injury has been on the injury report, but now Grant asked him to put out an official “sources said leak”. He’s turning into a coward. Hue ego is absolutely out of control.

Obviously this is from Grant’s camp as he’s looking for a new deal

The other part of this is a big issue this season with this team. It’s March, and roles haven’t been defined.

This is due to someone always being out. They haven’t had enough games with everyone available. Not enough situations where that group has been tested collectively. Al said it the other night about this group not being locked in yet. Jaylen talked about how people including himself are looking to get themselves going first.

That’s my main concern for this team in the playoffs. It’s not quite 2019 vibes, but it’s similar in that they haven’t been tested enough and are going to have to rely on some switch with the amount of games left

I still feel like a lot of his shooting issues are because he went from shooting mostly stationary open corner 3s to now trying to pump fake side step every time he gets the ball and also taking way more 3s not from the corner. It seems like he worked on his game and has a “deeper bag” that hes eager to use but it hasnt quite translated to the NBA yet so he just looks trash whenever he tries to do anything more than catch and shoot

Maybe don’t play if you’re injured

  9. chrontonic

Maybe they should all just stop playing like assholes. When they get a lead they need to keep their foot on the gas and stop burning clock to just end up with a Tatum step back 3 with a defender in his face.

If he’s not healthy than rest him until he is. If he is healthy how about give a consistent role in the rotation. His minutes have been all over the place the last month and that’s contributed to him having zero rhythm. In that last Cavs game was the last player off the bench, played less minutes than Kornet, but was still out there for crunch time.

Batman and Joker is two sides of the same coin. one can turn into another quickly /s

How does a ligament in your arm connect to a mouth that never stops bitching?

  13. Beantown00

His elbow isn’t causing him to get repeatedly cooked off the dribble though I’ll tell you that. He’s been downright awful even apart from the shooting

  14. Winsonboss88888

Typically role players ,on contract year, and will struggle, more mentally. The minutes are dictated by their coaches view of the matchup on that particular night.

  15. goodtimeismyshi

Isn’t his role pretty well defined though. He’s a classic three and D guy. There for the catch and shoot threes and to play physical defense on 1-5. That doesn’t mean he can’t experiment with pump fake drives, but his role is very visually apparent

  16. Drawing_The_Line

Not buying the injury excuse from his camp. Pure spin. If you’re injured, you need to sit out and heal even if it’s a contract year. By playing this inconsistently, he’s only hurting his value. This feels a lot more mental than physical. Definitely concerning we’re in March and his role is still undefined. He’s shown flashes of being a dependable role player since being drafted, but I think he needs to do some soul searching and get back to what got him here instead of constantly being more of a distraction than an asset.

He’s still ass🤣🤣 how do u miss both free throws when u only need one to literally win the game and u talked mad shit saying you’d make them both🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he deserves one dollar per year or to go to china

  18. Doitlikethis23

“IMA MAKE EM BOTH” let this fool walk after the season

  19. _josephmykal_

Sounds like a players agent is trying to salvage some worth for the next contract. He turned down 50mil to make 18mil in that same time.

why do these “injuries” always come out after the players suck for a while? If he’s sick/ injured, don’t play ’em. Then they are more of a liability. Get healthy, then come back. If you play, don’t use it as an excuse.
