    Huge huge game tonight. Hawks are presumably playing Collins and Capela. We have all our guys, they have all theirs. Although Morris is coming off the bench and has a minutes restriction.

    Delon starting again. Both teams fighting for the playoffs. Teams don’t really seem to like each other. I expect a dogfight, either on court or off it or both. The score might not end up being close but I just get the feeling things are gonna be testy.

    What’s up:

    * Rebound, Rebound, Rebound. With Collins and Capela apparently both in, if we don’t rebound they’re going to get tons of chances and we’re going to get very few.
    * KP and Gaff are going to have to defend the pick & roll well. It would be nice if they could be good at guarding the roller because those lobs are more dangerous and easier than trae getting past Delon to get his floater off.
    * Trae’s going to flop his ass off.
    * I don’t usually bring in WUJ but him or somebody on the Wizards needs to be on the refs ass from the start about Trae’s unnatural motions and flopping. None of our players have the cache to get the right calls made. WUJ ~rarely~ never loses his cool. It’s time to lose it tonight. Don’t get tossed on purpose, just get mad. You know what you’re about to see, tell the refs in advance.

    Lets go Wizards!

    The Hawks will win us if they’d their homework:

    1. The Wizards are bad at defending the perimeter, playing hope basketball with especially 2 bigs who need to get out to the perimeter.
    2. The Wizards’ bigs are bad when it comes to switching near the 3-point line, just screen & switch – an open shot is at hand when the other player who screens will try to get inside afterward.
    3. The Wizards are 23rd in points allowed of 2nd chance points (Which means we give the 7th most 2nd chance points in the league).
    4. The Wizards are ranked 20th in offensive rebounds they let their opponent get (It means we are 10th in the most offensive rebounds we let our opponent get – bad!).
    5. The Hawks need to let someone cover Trae Young who isn’t actually defending, trying to get switches – DO NOT LET TRAE YOUNG DEFEND AT ALL COSTS.
    6. The Wizards go ISO on Beal, Kuzma & KP a lot, not much ball movement, so focus on them, double team near the end of the shot clock as they are not likely to pass to teammates that aren’t part of the trio.
    7. Zone Defense should be highly effective against the Wizards, it will leave Gafford without a job, and he can’t space the floor much. Kuzma & Beal tend to go inside more, even when the paint is packed – easy to strip for turnovers.

    I wrote all of that, in hopes the Wizards won’t do the same mistakes. SHARE THE FREAKING BALL WILL YA?! I’m tired of these predictable one-man attacks.

    These two games are probably the closest Capital One will get all year to playoff atmosphere, HUGE game!!

    really hope we can start off with a win, feel like a back to back with the same team is easier if you strike first.
