The teams we’ve lost to at home makes for a very funny list.
Oh well, on to San Antonio.
Passive
Malone shouldn’t blame himself, he should just blame the 3 guard lineups.
Man Jokic shot under 50% what a fucking terrible game all around. Pathetic effort
Suns will probably catch the Nuggets in the standings pretty soon. Season is over.
Only second time Jok has shot under 50%? Last time was in October. Lmao. Yeah I’m not worried. Is he averaging a TD anymore? Not that it really matters but it feels like its been a while where he hadn’t got 9 assists or more
The thing concerning about Phoenix is that post trade everyone was saying they might have had the worst bench in NBA history yet after the trade, their bench has literally won their minutes in every single game.
WTF.
Do yourself a favor and don’t check r/NBA for the next 24 hours. Sixers and Bucks fans feasting.
Losing is fine, but the lack of effort is what gets me. It’s not hard to have effort and play hard. These people get paid handsomely and fans should expect to get their money’s worth.
Chicago Bols heh heh
This is a game where Malone better be seeing how his stubborn streak really hurt us. He cannot do this in the playoffs or we will not make it.
Been a while since I’ve done this, but what I’m about point out is really damn simple
1. It’s unacceptable we’re 60+ games into the season and we don’t have a set, solid 2nd unit lineup. We have enough talent on this roster for that to not be in the case. The bench unit need to be set and set now. You do not wait until the playoffs to do that. Idc if the answer is stagger Joker. The stagger unit we had against Memphis helped us close out that game
2. I miss CB, I really do. It’s actually frustrating Reggie comes in, who’s not playing well, and his minutes are gone. Stop the 3 guard lineup. If you’re going to play Reggie, make him the point. Either play Bryant with Ish or don’t play him at all since that’s the only PG he seem to have a connection with
3. I understand the bench isn’t good, but it’s the momentum that they kill. The starters won’t be able to gain it back every single night
4. If the Nugs are playing through AG, it’s not going to turn out well. That 3rd quarter offense was horrible, that is not Nuggets basketball. Give him another week of rest, because he’s went from the 2nd best player on the Nuggets to like the 4th again. I think it should be addressed
5. Jamal Murray tweet before and after the game lol
6.. Last, but not least… Joker doesn’t want the MVP. I made a thread saying I’m not against it cause of the unwarranted negativity coming his way and MVP’s lately don’t win the title the same year, but the big guy is clearly dialing it back
Start the fucking playoffs.
I’m from Illinois and moved to Denver last year. Got the best seats yet this year for bulls game. Haven’t been a bulls die hard since they never utilized lauri. Loved lauri his rookie year and jumped out of nba for a few years. Moved to Denver and I love this team. Jokic b2b mvp no social media. Dudes missing out on EZ money just to play the thing he is good at but has a main hobby in horses. Sucked being super close and surrounded by bulls fan as a west nuggets and easy bulls fan. Game the nuggets could lose and could help the bulls into the play ins. My wet dreams are a bulls nuggets finals while I’m in Denver.
Fake one seed amirite?
I blame the Nikola Jokic diss track
It’s going to be really annoying watching this team for the next month
Did anyone notice we were standing around on offense? Can’t play like this headed into the playoffs. I realize we’ve been stellar but consistency is king.
I’ll be honest.
the nuggets softness was clear to me since the beginning of the season.
Partially – murray was not there, MPJ needed to come in… New guys needed to be incorporated.
Fine.
And – so it goes 3/4 of the season – whoever is looking at the “lead” we have, and being “ok with it” should not reply here. That number means NOTHING.
All that matters is HOW THE NUGGETS LOOK RIGHT NOW.
And they don’t look good.
Last 4-5 games – this is a team without identity. With no toughness, with ZERO predictability.
Murray is NOT back, and god knows if he’ll ever be. I don’t even remember WHAT HE NEEDS TO GET BACK TO!?
At this point – he’s Barton 2.0. Clueless, ball-hogging, chucking… slowing down everything and behaving like he just joined the team.
Malone!? I don’t know what to say… OK, maybe he’s “trying something” mystical that I can’t understand – but his rotations are awful, reaction time terrible and decisions just WRONG (if he ever makes them, which he rarely, if ever, does)
Again – I don’t care about this loss… As much as I didn’t care about our recent wins – because all of that, regardless of the outcome, was haphazard trash.
Downvote, do what you will, but this is what I think.
Nuggets, like this, are NOT contenders.
The fact CB still isn’t playing is completely unacceptable to me. I dont understand it
How long has it been since Joker was worse than 50% from the field? I saw some comments about a streak awhile back, but never saw if it ended until today…
It’s a fucking long season. Every team has off nights. Most of the doom and gloom is so silly after a game like this.
I will say that I’m not sure if I trust Moach 100% to figure out rotations though. He is definitely stubborn and I HOPE that he’s trying out this lineup to see what he has and that Braun can possibly be in the rotation
I know Jokic tends to be pretty infallible with the fanbase but holy shit has he seemed off lately. The Raptors seemed willing to go right at him and he played like he’d rather be anywhere else tonight.
It’s still early March. I’m not sweating it yet. But that schedule ramps up after next week and this team just seems off.
Seems as though I picked a bad night to attend a nuggets basketball game
DOOM! NUGGS ARE AWEFULL! Am i doing this right??
Is Jokic washed???
What happened to DNVR stream?
What a troll game
My fault. Grew up in Chi in the Jordan days. Nuggets fan for 20 years, wore a Nuggets hat and a Chi shirt. I cursed it. Apologies.
Bone Hylan still hasn’t left the bench it seems
Glad to see some new faces around here, haven’t had enough doomers lately
Murray shooting this game was 29% (7/23). His career shooting PCT in last 6 seasons were: 49% for 2pts and 36% for 3pts. Max contract guard should do better.
With such a comfortable position in the conference, too much of the focus was outside of the game for the Nuggets tonight, which is why a low tier team you don’t care about beating that is fighting for a win came in and kicked your ass at home.
Hopefully the message was received, since it was certainly sent.
This is NuggLyfe
One thing we can confirm – Jamal Murray is NOT an NBA player.
In the past 12 qtrs – he “played” 1 or 1.5 at best. (I’m not gonna even comment the crap he did before that this season).
And we say that he “played” – only because he hit couple of lucky shots that we were so thirsty for. We’re so desperate for him to be something and add something… Sooo desperate. But he’s just not IT.
No.
Jamal Murray is NOT an NBA player.
It would be nice if Nuggets had Jrue, or Smart, or even old Conely, even 78yo CJM would be a blessing, or someone like that.
A true NBA player and a real man.
But, Nuggets have Jamal Murray. Are STUCK with him. And Michael Malone.
So, that’s how it goes.
Physical teams are a bit of our kryptonite.
We just don’t deal with them well.
All 3 of Jokic, Mal and MPJ shrink when teams slap the shit out of them.
