The Mavs' defense is of the G league, because too often they leave unguarded people under the panel (free to shoot casually). In this manner, say thank you if they enters the PO, but they assumed that by bringing Kyrie(and implicitly weakening their defense). Even with the current people, with better resource management, Mavs still should have won more games. CW is so talented and underappreciated more and more and this in losing the team and Josh hasn't matured enough to be a starter….
As much as you can outshoot the opposition, you still need good defence.

I appreciate Luka's effort to help the team but since he couldn't get back in defense on time due to his thigh injury he should have sat out. Mavs would have a better shot without him because he was handicapped and the Pelicans took advantage of it. The team does not look at its best anyways. The problem in defense is big and the frontline too thin…
