This season is a wash lol, just retool in the offseason and go for a big run next year
Dont care ,let him do whatever he has to do and not rush him,its easy to do the right things when times are easy and tougher when they are though
For those of you who are ok with Wiggins being out indefinitely when we’re trying to make a playoff push, how long until you start getting frustrated with him?
Wiggins was huge in bringing a championship back to the bay last year. We have been spoiled with 4 chips in the last 8 years and people are mad cuz they want this years mediocre team to try to make a run. I’d rather sit out this off-season get are guys some rest and recovery and try to get a good big man to help us next year. Plus this gives time for our young core to grow and fine tune stuff. Kerr seems to be using this time to figure out what he has a group and test line ups give the two way guys minutes they don’t necessarily deserve and also to hopefully have iffy become a coach on the bench if he wants that. He’s also probably seeing who’s expendable this off season to better the roster for a run next year. You get jk another year to grow and develop and Jordan Poole to hopefully improve his ball handling and decision making. pbj might grow another inch and we might have a 7ft sniper. Next year will be better I’ve checked out on any championship hopes. I just hope we have a good playoff series but this season is a lot of just figuring shit out.
I have to believe wiggs will force himself to play if/when we get in the playoffs
I hate how taboo this sub is making this subject. This guy has a job to do and has been out for over a month. At some point you at least update the fans and let us know if Andrew is just out or if he’s expected back at some point. I’ll say it again, there’s nothing he could be doing that would require his full attention 24/7 for a month straight.

Why am I more concerned for Wiggs and whatever he’s going through than when will he return? He’s a good dude and an outstanding player, and whatever is going on must be very serious. I want him to come back whenever he feels ready and I don’t want him to take fan opinion into account.

I don’t mind waiting. It sucks that we’re losing games, yes. But that’s exactly what they are – games.
I suspect it’s a serious family issue. And for those kinds of issues, you get my full support.
Now if he comes back tomorrow and says he took some time away to mourn the death of his house cat, then I might be a little pissed.
What situation’s actually warrant a month off?
Rehab or death of a child is all that comes to mind.
I know if I ghosted my employer for a month with no updates about when I plan on coming back or a path of action I’d lose my job. I feel for Wiggs but also society wouldn’t function at all if employers just allowed employees to disappear at their own choosing without updates, a plan or clear path to recovery

Lot of weird comments in this thread. Wiggins doesn’t owe an explanation to anyone. Jordan Poole and Kerr talked about this the other day that the team is checkin in with him and giving him space. We don’t deserve to know what’s going on with him. Sucks that he’s not on the court helping the team win, but his life is more important than the game. Simple as that
Everyone thinking he is just coming back obviously he isn’t playing so he’s gonna be rusty as hell and out of shape.

I’ve been trying to reconcile in my mind what would take this long to be out for. If someone died it doesn’t make sense; if someone was sick and on their last days then it does. It could be any innumerable amount of things, but it has got to be really bad. That being said, even trying to rack my brain about it, I can’t possibly think of a scenario in which someone would take this much time off, even if you start thinking really dark.
Anyone here who’s watched ball more than me…. has this ever happened in the history off the league??? A player taking a whole month of and there’s not even romours of what’s up??

Just assuming he ain’t coming back then. I hope he’s good but I’ve never seen an nba player go a month with an absence that wasn’t injury related with no updates at all. Don’t need to know what he’s dealing with, but at least knowing whether or not he plans on returning this season at this point isn’t asking for much I believe. It’s whatever though, the team is screwed either way.
