We either clinch sixth seed or destroy in the play in. Nobody wants to play us and an upset is definitely possible.

It's unfortunate that Gary has to go to the bench I get that it will help the raptors bench but I see Gary as a starter type player and has the potential to be a allstar someday people like to forget some of the big games he's had and that stretch last season were he had 5 games in a row of 30+ points

3 reasons why Raptors ain't going anywhere this year!!!
1) Nick Nurse and his Siakam centric iso offense. For 3 years we've watched this epic failure of an offensive strategy.
2) Fred refusing to accept a backseat role to Scottie Barnes. It's pretty obvious by now…. this team plays better when Barnes is running point!!!! Anybody with some basketball IQ… Can see Fred Vanblanket is better suited for the SG position. That's why it worked when he and Lowry were out there together! Fred needs to give up on his delusions of grandeur.. HE'S NOT A POINT GUARD.
3)the locker room is still fragmented. The trade deadline was a chance to fix it and management chose not to.
This team needs a culture change….ie.. Pascal and Fred gone. Time for the Scottie & OG era!!!!

I'm a Raps fan.. but I'm also am realistic about this current team. This team constructed cannot consistently win again mid tier teams.. sadly the truth is this is a first round exit team at best. They are not beating any of the top 4 teams in the East.. not Biston.. not Bucks.. not Philly.. Not Cavs.
My hope for next season is to sign and trade Bumvleet.. dont want to be stuck paying Free a max or near max contract and Fred is holding the entire Raps team back. Next trade OG for someone of similar caliber or for some actual solid bench depth and picks. Hopefully resign GTJ.. still young and still has upside aswell as he fits Barnes timeline. Pascal.. not sure what to do with him.. guess it depends if we are competing or rebuilding? Lastly we desperately need more 3 pt shooters.

yeah but trent missed 90 percent of his shots, just 50 percent we would of won by 30
I would add that trent going to the bench doesnt mean he wont finish games. It could be the case that happens more often than not depending on match ups mainly but even if he hot that night too

Woh! We won 8 of our last 10 games against teams below 500. Except Memphis but was without Ja, Dillon and Steven. So let's not get too excited.

Record 8-2 is deceiving. Toronto beat the bottom of the standing teams. Loosing to Utah 2x and Utah is just an average team with no superstar. Won against: Pistons x 2, Orlando, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago. Beating these teams doesn't make Toronto a good team.
Unfortunately they lost against the wizards yesterday
word of caution – the Raptors have the most difficult strength of schedule remaining in the league.

I truly believe Gary Trent Jr would be a perennial 6th man of the year candidate if he came off the bench, a la Herro, Williams, etc. I hope Toronto is able to hold on to him next season.
