I blame the coach tbh.
ONLY PROBLEM IN HOUSTON ROCKETS IS TILLMAN STONE SILAS OR ORGANIZATION IS TERRIBLE WE NEVER GONNA COMPETE FOR NOTHING
Get rid of KPJ, and his dad SILAS. Simple problem solved.
Mad Max always had something similar and it ended up costing him. Diif is Max demanded respect and KPJ demands the keys. Saw it months back when he questioned Silas" TO on court bc he didn't want to give it up for the last shot. Shame really bc he is talented in the right role.
He's had plenty of chances to change his ways – time for KPJ to exit. If Stone isn't willing to pull the trigger he needs to exit with Silas. The owner needs to do some house cleaning – and stop being the second coming of Cal McNair. Make some effort in righting this ship – it will make him some money if he would just invest a little bit of effort in finding a few experienced people to place at the top and let them clean house.
Trade him that's all he wants the ball he don't play no defense he only cares about himself he doesn't care if the team win or knot Trade his bum ass
This is what happens when you have a beta male for a coach! Smh
Love the beginning to the video🔥🔥🔥
I believe it is time for the Rockets to move on from Kevin Porter Jr. right now. As a strong Victor Wembanyama fan who actually likes his fit with Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. (even if some may disagree on this), I am absolutely tired of hearing this "Houston is a terrible landing spot for Victor Wembanyama because of their poor organizational culture and the fact that they do not develop their players" take. Change should start now. Change is necessary in order to improve.
FIRE SILAS NOW
Overall, KPJ has done well. We have to remember how far he’s come and how young he still is. He will most likely grow up. Not an excuse but context is important.
No he's not the problem. The problem is the team consist of many fixed signs, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus. Fixed signs are stubborn and don't like change. With KPJ being a double Taurus (Sun and Moon) he presents an extreme personality of a Taurean Trait. Jabari, also a Taurus but a Libra moon is more reasonable to fit under a leadership role (in communication) since Libra is an Air element of intellect. What the Rockets need is to fulfill a gap in chemistry (energy) to balance some of the fixed signs we have. That includes a Cardinal sign such as a Capricorn ala Martin Jr. The Rockets need more of that. Coincidentally if the Rockets get the no. 1 pick, Wemba is a Cardinal sign and would fit great next to KPJ, Jabari, Tate, Eason. Another thing thats wrong w the Rockets is Green and Sengun are of opposite element of the rest of the Rockets team. Rockets is Earth and Water dominant which causes a problem in chemistry with Sengun and Green who are Fire and Air elements. I predicted this Rockets slide since the team was constructed by Rafael. There's a pattern that exist among NBA teams that correlates with Zodiac Chemistry. I feel this is a hidden secret can be of advantage of NBA franchises when selecting cornerstone players. Scoot Henderson a Gemini, would be a perfect fit for Sengun and Green… 🙂
I know he is talented but NO MORE FREE PASSES. Any immature, problem children need to be shown the door.
I don't see it working out with him. We had a chance for him to have a major role on the team, but that ship sailed. He's been given the impression this is his team. I don't see anyway he accepts the 6th man role and 25 or so minutes a night.
The irony is, if he did, he'd probably have a decent career.
Trade his ass to the Lakers for Jared Vanderbilt
It could be a tank effort and KPJ wants out. I think if Kevin is with us next year, and I think it would be good to have him, all this negative emotion will be out the window with a little winning on a fresh seasons record. I know that's what everyone wanted and expected this year , fans and players both, is some growth and success. But hey guys it's Victor Wembenyama and Scoot Henderson that are gonna be two bomb prospects to land should we be graced with the luck
We just need a culture reset we have the pieces to make a competent team but obviously need new coach and some damn vets!
It's okay shot frustration once in a while, but he straight up stopped playing and looked back towards the coaching staff as if he was throwing a tantrum in front of his mom (Silas) for not receiving a pass.
If that guy is gonna be a halfway mature player someday, it won't happen before Houston gets rid of whichever idiots are enabling him to this extent. Gotta file his over-inflated ego down right now by benching him until the end of this season.
Man KPJ isn’t the problem they young and learning they gotta learn to mesh together this will take time and dedication
First off, nice backdrop showing off the many vistas of H-Town.
Nah. He just needs to come off the bench as a sixth man. He's still talented as hell and can do his thing with the second unit
yo yo yo! thanks for the upload, Champion
People commenting to keep him because he’s talented. There’s a bunch of talented players out there. Go get another one and stop being thirsty behind a player who hasn’t proven ANYTHING
Theres a reason cleveland got rid of him, 1strike with them, 2 with us….lol and we paid him. He needs to be on a team full of vets, wall said it best…."this wouldnt fly with any other orginazation"
It’s not his fault that he was forced into playing the PG position. That’s not on him. That’s ALL on the team.
That BS infantile attitude is ALL him.
I gonna keep this short. If kpj has an issue get rid of his ass
oh damn i didnt see the hollins part of this.
Love kpj game, just think he was forced into this kind of role and the rockets handed him the keys to soon
TL;DR: Maybe. The issue is it's not a good look, because of his past incidents it's starting to become a pattern. Then again I've seen other players on the team do this too over the course of the season. The bigger issue is I've rarely seen the coaching staff address it when it happens.
Maybe. The issue is it's not a good look, because of his past incidents it's starting to become a pattern. Can't have that especially since the org basically gave you the keys, and your suppose to be one of the teams leaders out there. It's why I think it would be insanely tough for him to take on a 6th man role when Harden gets here, because even if you don't want him. Harden is coming here for non basketball reasons. Also you know the org is going to welcome Harden back like a long lost child, and forget about how he left us in this spot in the first place and give him the keys again. That's also partially the reason why I think KPJ is playing through that toe injury. It's because he doesn't want to hand over the keys, and to prove that we shouldn't let Harden run the show again.
Then again I've seen other players on the team do this too over the course of the season. The bigger issue is I've rarely seen the coaching staff address it when it happens. We don't hold players accountable to anything except a few people. We don't reward players for when they're playing good either. Al P would get benched for his poor defense, but then you see other players playing terrible d, and not get benched until Jackson Gatlin ask Silas about why Al P was benched the whole 4th. Suddenly next game he benched Jabari a whole 4th, and shortly afterwards Jabari is suddenly Auburn Jabari again. Tari will have amazing games coming off the bench, and then see no action in the 4th. So you play bad if your certain players you don't get held accountable. On the opposite spectrum you play great, and you don't get rewarded with more playing time. Players will get hot during a quarter, and for some reason we stop feeding them the rock. How are our players suppose to act then?
I can see the allure of the idea of KPJ the dude has handles but at best he is a sixth man on a playoff team.
maybe John Wall was right after all.
If he’s willing to accept it, I believe KPJ should move to a 6 man role taking and less point guard. The kid likes to get buckets, he’d torch any teams second unit. He has had issues in the past but I think he loves Houston and is close with a lot of players on the team, we just need a coach who can control personalities and keep players moving off the ball. Keeping kpj moving when he doesn’t have the ball will be the best thing to do.
kpj and sengun lost the connection
Jabari passed the ball to Sengun probably because he knows Sengun will make the right play. Rockets brass can make KPJ the starting point guard but he has to earn that title from his team mates. KPJ the Head Honcho? Please. KPJ and Jalen as dumb as a doorknob. They are the reason when we watch the Rocket's it looks like a neighborhood pickup game.
I like KPJ, and I don't think he is the problem. The problem is Silas, the coach. He doesn't set boundaries for the players. He just let his players run around, like little kids who don't know anything. A good coach should set his player's blueprint on how to play the ball and a good system. I stop watching the rockets this year, it boils my blood. lols
Might get a little rocky if we draft a new “scoot”
These problems in sports often stem from a bad coach/manager.
This is what happens when a coach can't instill discipline or command respect from the players. Players get big egos, start acting entitled, and you start to get infighting. Easy fix: fire Silas and bring in someone competent.
Then, whoever comes in next has to have a serious conversation with KPJ about attitude and his future role with the team.
He’s not even in Harden’s level to be arrogant like that off the ball. This dude is a poison
