    >”Offensively, he’s looking better,” Markkanen said. “He just fills the gap and gets to his spots, able to find guys. His jump shot’s looking like he’s been working on it; looks smooth. I’m happy to have him here.”

my biggest takeaway of watching kris, is that even from the first game, I was like “this guy is a pro”

hes obviously a pro, the way he moves, the way he plays, the way he conducts himself

really happy for him to get back into the league. I cant imagine what hes feeling after playing for the Capital City Go-Gos, seeing your lifelong dream fade. Its like, these guys have dedicated their entire lives to basketball (its part of why I think Derrick Favors comment about being a basketball player is enough is very poignant).

so anyway, dude has dedicated his entire fucking life to the game, high draft pick. has a bad few years, injuries, and its **all** gone, and youre there playing for no one in the stands for a G league team with a ridiculous name. hes still rich, but its rock bottom for a competitor. not rock bottom, like an addict or a criminal, but for a fucking pro who demands the best out themselves, imagine how that feels.

then juxtapose that with this reincarnation. hes back in the league, playing clutch minutes in the 4th quarter for a team that is pretty respectable tbh. Hes grabbing life by the goddamn horns and hes doing it.

i love it, i fucking love kris dunn

  3. From another fandom’s sub(don’t shoot), but always love to see a good comeback story.

Was a nice read. Hopefully my theory of giving him 2 year contract with last year being team option is the most sensible thing that Jazz can do in this situation they are in. As even next year isn’t our full championship run, Jazz might have to go through draft this year to get the players to even start trying to push again in playoffs which would mean we need 2-3 years more to go contender for championship. Lauri will improve more freedom he gets and more Jazz support him.
