  1. Get rid of the 30 second intro on a youtube video. This isn't a blockbuster movie with a need for credits. Unsubscribed and unrecommended for this bullshit.

  2. They lost because against the Rockets because they lacked discipline outside the court. They were young guns and weren't all business that series.

  4. This was the time where the very young me was confronted with NBA Basketball for the very first time. I'm still Magic.

  5. I think there was talk about getting Tim Duncan on that Orlando squad too. NBA History could have been very different had a few variables played out correctly

  6. That was a stellar basketball team. I had the blue Penny jersey. So many in my area in Massachusetts had Shaq jerseys.

  7. There is no doubt that the Magic were stacked back then . If Penny hadn't gotten injured and Shaq stuck around, I think they eventually would have won a ring. If MJ hadn't returned I think they would have won at least one ring if not multiple rings.

  8. Shaw continued the Shaw-Shaq Redemption when they were in LA together too. Was a great play they hit it often. Shaw was a very underrated player , dude was legit in crunch time too.

  9. I liked Shaq when he was played for Orlando but never liked when he moved to the Lakers, he wasn't trying to win on his own, he just wanted it to be easy. It's like Lebron going to the Heat.

  10. Bulls fan since Day 1, but Penny was one of my favorite players growing up. I wasn't too upset when the Magic beat them (better them than the Knicks)

  11. God i can't believe penny was drafted 30 years ago. That scares the shit out of me

  12. That team was built to fail. It relayed too much on Shaq and Penny. Horace had no back up and that bench was lousy. The streaky shooting of Anderson and Scott didn’t help either. No wonder Shaq bounced to make shitty movies and not be the next Patrick Ewing by default.

  13. Ahhh… the memories. I was 10 years old living in central Florida and this is the squad that really turned my personal interest from football to basketball for life.

  14. What was said at the end of the video is absolutely correct – had Nick made those FT’s I don’t think Shaq would have left & if Penny didn’t suffer those injuries, the Magic would be talked about the way the early 2000’s Laker team is now. They would have been a dynasty.

  15. The best teams that never did it might be the early 90's Blazers and the mid 90´s Jazz

  16. It was this team that got me into watching basketball. I didn't watch or play sports while growing up, I pretty much grew up in high school being a rebel who listened to underground alternative music and was into the arts and playing guitar rather than participating in any activity at all that had to do with sports. Then I moved to Orlando in 1995, right before Christmas. The person I was moving in with watched basketball and he turned on that Christmas game of the Magic vs Bulls on TV. I saw Shaq and I was like 'Wow, I didn't know that he played for Orlando, that's pretty cool'. Then there was an interview with Penny, and the interviewer mentioned that he was now being compared to greats like Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. I was like 'Wow, that's pretty cool and he plays for the city I now live in'. I then learned about how much Orlando wins. Being from Jacksonville, FL- a real garbage dump of a city, I for once had something to be proud about my city. I was hooked, I became a hardcore Magic fan and watched them religiously ever since, even during rebuild seasons.

  17. Horace Grant is the most underrated Power Forward of All-Time. The Bulls wouldn't have won without him, same with the Magic. If Horace didn't get injured in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bulls, I don't think the Magic would have gotten swept. He had a knack for being at the right place at the right time, cleaning up a play with an offensive rebound and being that 'glue' that keeps a talented team together.

  18. The Magic Vs. Knicks, Magic vs Pacers…you knew you were in for a show in 95. Also Shaq reacting the way he did with Nicks Freethrows gets me every time….its like Hakeem wasn't dropping 30+ on him all series

  19. You know why those Orlando magic 🪄✨ guys were good and communicate perfectly because the starting lineup were water and earth you may not believe in zodiac signs but to this team is an example how important zodiac signs are stay to your own kind and everything will go smoothly.

  20. Before his injury, I think Penny was a better player than Kobe (at the same point of their careers.) Penny had much better on-court chemistry with Shaq, playing point guard, he was a match-up nightmare, underrated defender. BUT, he never had the "clutch/killer instinct "- Maybe if he had stayed healthy?

  21. loved this Magic era…they were so exciting when they were on and at full strength. the problem with this team i thought was their bench and it showed in the 96 ECF when Horace and some of the other players went down

  22. Penny was the leader of the magic, not Shaq 🤷 shaq may have been the most dominant but he wasn't the leader 🤷

  23. 90s Nostalgia Orlando Magic ! Shaq should've got one while in Orlando. I've always said that.

  24. Man I wish Orlando Magic would have won the finals in 1995. Shaq wouldn't have left for L.A. if he won the title that year.

  25. That 94-95 Rockets were truly something else… being mediocre all season, got in the playoffs with the 6th seed without any home court advantage m, and don’t quote me on this, I think they had to beat four 50 plus win team to win it all… they got hot at the perfect perfect time… Hakeem was god like in that playoffs as well.
