Can Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr. & Precious Achiuwa get back on track for the Toronto Raptors?

In Episode 1361, Sean Woodley is joined by Katie Heindl (DIME, Basketball Feelings) to play a round of everyone’s favourite Toronto Raptors parlour game: ‘What’s More Likely?!’, with a focus on three struggling members of the squad: Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa. Off the top, they dig into whether it’s more like that Pascal Siakam will average 25 points a game from here to the end of the season, or average 15 points in that span, as he has over the last 6 games or so. If he can’t get back on track scoring wise, does that change the shape of the Raptors’ offseason plans at all? Next, they take a look at Gary Trent Jr., and whether this offseason is more likely to see him secure a new 4-year contract with the Raptors, or walk away for nothing (in a fashion that leaves the Raptors front office not all that upset). Lastly, is Precious Achiuwa more likely to get 20 minutes of action in a play-in game, or get no action at all in such a high leverage contest on the heels of his post-Jakob Poeltl trade struggles? Sean and Katie discuss all that, plus a very important piece of Mascot News. Welcome to the show, Douglas Fur!

  1. Tell us where you come down on today's What's More Likely scenarios! Pascal averages 25 points over the last 13 games, OR averages 15? Gary signs a 4-year deal to stay in Toronto this summer, OR walks for nothing? Precious gets 20 minutes of action in a play-in game, OR gets no court time at all?

  2. more likely for GTj to get back on track. Precious if he only focuses on D first, rebs and putbacks, very low on Pascal since the "AAAAAHHHH" move everythime someone breaths on him is on lockdown by the refs and NBA players show no respect to that yelling move

  3. Get Pascal back into a secondary role.

He could use more energy in different spots.

  4. Douglas Fur is an embarrassment to former Super Sonics alumni Squatch – It feels like a real design failure

  5. I am not worried about Siakams slump, he operated well where Poeltl now occupies, so he needs to tweak his game a bit to the flow of this offense, but I believe he'll get back into the flow, but the minutes he plays with Poeltl on the bench he needs to be more aggressive to the drive

  6. I'm an OG fan and even I can tell that people are putting heavy bodies against PASCAL. He is getting Double teamed. They treat him like a superstar.
