The Knicks utilized there day off for working on a specialized game plan for Denver. Denver seemed to not do this. Great teams DO this.
Murray is a rythm player, coaches scout. Murray should be on the floor well before games to GET a rhythm. Problem solved.

You're building on a lead with momentum and he decides Jamal needs rest to stagger with the bench. When coach says this many times "we cant make this many turnovers" it means only on thing – player doesnt know what to do with the ball, you cant just give the ball to Jokic and expect miracles to happen day after day. Teams are fighting for playins, playoff spots, the worst possible moment to lose confidence and atmosphere
Sometimes good coaches just run their course. It's not a bad thing. Happens all the time in the NBA. Even Phil Jackson couldnt coach the same team forever.

Malone just always gives us a recap of what we just saw–how about coming up with some ideas? And I don't mean playing Jeff Green too many minutes and MPJ too few. Players are not buying whatever Malone is selling that is for sure.
Not sure I've ever seen anything like this before. A team essentially clinches the conference with a month to go and then disintegrates w/out major serious injuries. Really no other way to describe it. I can talk about the obvious X's and O's and execution problems specifically but I guess the question is 'why?' This is well beyond 'bored.' They're not playing Jokic ball at all for whatever reason. I had the Nugs at 54 wins to start the season, revised that up to 57, and now I'm revising it down to maybe 51 wins. Looking at the schedule, even if the Nuggets improve a bit I don't see more than 3 or 4 games that they should clearly win. Unprecedented in my experience.

As usual recently Malone takes no responsibility at all. He's doubled down on his ridiculous recent statement that he'll find 'players that will come along with me.' Who might those guys be Mike? Laughable. I spent years defending Karl against the ''fire Karl' crowd. So I'm the last guy to think a coach may need to go. I'm starting to wonder though. I think Malone understands his potential predicament and is responding in an understandable if really disappointing manner.
