Austin Reaves was a former LeBron Hater nephew.

2011 Finals: Reaves comments: “dirk is to much for lebron”

April 2012, Reaves posts: “When I need some peace and quiet, I set my phone to LeBron Mode: No Ring”

  1. 12 year old hating or bandwagonning Heatles LeBron seems expected.

  2. dys0n_giddey

Better takes than the 12 year olds on here at least

  3. Kinda what everyone was saying online those years.

  4. Of all the old social media posts that could resurface these all seem pretty tame.

  5. That was a fun time in NBA and meme history.

However one of the first things they should teach incoming players is delete your teenage social media. lol

  6. not_gobert_fault

LeGM trading him back for THT after seeing this

  7. Jay_Shadow

Eh, it’s not on the level of Larry Nance Jr calling Kobe a rapist a couple years before the Lakers drafted him.

  8. buckyismyfather

    > Old social media posts show that Austin Reeves used to be…

    🫣

  9. jake-coyne

  10. theodros1

  11. shanmustafa

we know this, LeBron knows this

also, this is why i was confused by Dame, people have BEEN making everything about rings forever

  12. sheeeeeez

Oh great now he has to apologize for something he did when he was a fetus. 😑

  13. Legit-Forgot-to-Wipe

Something about pulling shit up like this from years ago on people I just find gross.

  14. SirDunkMcNugget

He grew up a Lakers fan. I was saying the same shit back then too lol

  16. james_randolph

I don’t care what you think about it, that setting my phone to LeBron mode is so fucking funny hahaha.

  17. _OnlyLiveOnce5_

How cool is it, that this once 12 year old hater is now the most consistent player on LeBron’s team!?!?

Ok AR15 – go get a ring tone now my brother.

  18. swervincervy

Y’all got nothing better to do then dig up posts from 12 years ago… must suck to suck.

  19. FearDaJoker5

Every laker fanboy from that era was a lebron hater

  20. Guygenius138

He’s right about the 2011 Finals though.

  21. nysraved

He mentioned this at about the 5 minute mark of his postgame interview last night when being asked about what it means to have Lebron proudly tweet about him

“Thanks SportsCenter for airing me out for a tweet I made about Lebron in 2012”

    https://youtu.be/EGu-nRoRaW0

So this isn’t some gotcha, I’m sure him and Lebron have joked about it already

  22. LeGJOaT69966996

I didn’t like lbj until he was a laker 🤷‍♂️

  23. mddhdn55

That time, the whole world hated lebron except for heat fans

  24. executivesphere

Lebron would probably think this is funny

  25. Gangstakitty187

Is this the proof mario chalmers used to prove no one feared lebron?

  26. pentbuttrwhy

Was not expecting this thread to turn into a cesspool of rape apologists

  27. HatOwn5310

r/NBA loves it some pre-teen social media.

  28. listinglight778

This just shows he was a true Laker fan all along like he said

  29. Matt32490

Do remember he is a Laker fan and the narrative was Kobe vs Bron for best in the league for quite a few years.

  30. Low-iq-haikou

Honestly he is hating but he ain’t no nephew there’s some truth to all this 😂

  31. WeefBellington24

Just goes to show social media posts are gonna be great evidence of idiotic takes

  32. ThisIsTheYear69

I hated lebron back then. If I now had the opportunity to start next to lebron I’d be hyped

  33. SuperTupac

Weirdly enough, quite a few NBA players had hated on LeBron during their college/high school days. If I remember correctly, Draymond and Damian Lillard had some harsh words for Lebron on old social media posts too. I don’t think we should put too much thought behind this, I mean, during the Heatles…EVERYONE hated Lebron, so I understand if a few NBA players had old posts trashing lebron when they were younger

  34. bloodmuffins793

I always thought it was funny that Dame (in college at the time) [was a certified LeBron Hater](https://nba.nbcsports.com/2014/11/04/damian-lillard-apologizes-to-lebron-james-who-called-tweets-no-big-deal/) back then too. Here are some of his highlights from the 2011 Finals:

    >@ KingJames I don’t feel bad for yo fake focused ass, I feel bad for dwade, and MYSELF cuz I wanted it more than you. #damnshame

    >@ KingJames I may have been one of yo biggest fans. But THIS series u played like a straight pussy

    >@ KingJames talents to south beach? N—-!! You took the spotlight nd a ego. You left the talents haha. Them shits in Cleveland .

Dame was always a killer lmao.

  35. Great_Huckleberry709

Those Lebron no-ring jokes was a fun time to be alive.

  36. LongjumpAdhesiveness

2011 Dirk was playoff pts leader, FMVP and NBA champion. He was too much for Lebron and Heatles in 2011.

The other two are just general NBA bants. How is this hating?

Also, who the fuck does this. How empty is your life to go back through a 12-year-old kid’s Social media?

  37. Legndarystig

The whole world hated Lebron and the heats aint no one holding that against AR-15

  38. Austin is 24 years old so he was 12-13 years old in 2011 and 2012. We really going to make it seem like what someone says or does when they are 12 or 13 to mean anything at all? Skip Bayless may make a big deal of it though 😂

In a shocking turn of events, NBA superstar LeBron James revealed that he was present at the birth of his Lakers teammate, Austin Reaves. According to sources close to the Los Angeles Lakers, James was in the delivery room offering words of encouragement to Reaves’ mother during the labor.

Sources close to LeBron James have reported that during his visit to the delivery room, he made a quip to Austin Reaves’ mom that left the room in stitches. “We gotta call you Queen Reeves ’cause you’re crowing!” James reportedly exclaimed, drawing laughs from Reaves’ family members and medical staff alike.

But it wasn’t all jokes and laughter during James’ visit. According to the same sources, James also made a bold prediction about Reaves’ future in basketball. “When Austin was first born, I looked into his eyes and saw the same fire and determination that made Michael Jordan a legend,” James claimed. “I knew right then and there that this kid was destined for greatness.”

When asked about his unique relationship with Reaves, James commented, “You need to start building relationships early and let them age like fine wine. That’s why I was there from day one.” It’s clear that James takes his team bonding very seriously, even if it means witnessing the miracle of childbirth.

However, the conversation quickly took a bizarre turn when James began ranting about his love for red wine. “Speaking of fine wine, have you tried the Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley? It’s like a work of art in a bottle,” James exclaimed. “I always make sure to enjoy a glass or two after a tough game.”

It’s no secret that James is a wine enthusiast, often sharing his love for the drink on social media. But his tangent during this interview left many scratching their heads and wondering if he had perhaps taken his appreciation for fine wine a bit too far.

As for Reaves, he seemed unfazed by James’ presence at his birth and the subsequent conversation about red wine. “I’m just excited to be playing alongside one of the greatest players of all time,” Reaves stated. “Whether he was there at my birth or not, I know he’s got my back on the court.”

Only time will tell if James’ unique approach to team bonding will pay off for the Lakers, but one thing’s for sure – his love for red wine isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
