When we were 124-123, Bogi gets the pass from Trae and shoots what appeared to be a wide open 3, I was begging for him to just drive forward and hit an easy 2 point shot. Make the Wolves hit the 3 to tie it. But instead, the shot is off and the Wolves go on to win.

  2. pbndoats

How unusual it is for Hunter to miss the buzzer beater 3, that play always works

  3. MarcoAnime

Lotta people trying to put it on the players but overall was a good game everybody was getting involved cant help the refs could call a hook on Trae and not KAT

  4. ok so hear me out.

2021 the pope blessed our mlk jerseys to propel our ecf run, as we all know.

2023 could the pope have cast a .500 hex spell, or some other similar kind of devious curse upon us?

i never really trusted this guy, given his hat and outfits and overall vibe.

and now given this season’s events, i’m beginning to suspect there may very well be be some pope-related sorcery at play.

we’ve hovered plus or minus a game from .500 for far too long for this to be a simple coincidence.

does he demand a tribute of balenciaga drip from us, or perhaps some small children? do we sage the locker room? is this simply our unavoidable karmic repayment for his 2021 ecf spell?

somebody post this on r/AskAChristian we need answers

I would call Boston TONIGHT and tell them to pick ANY 2 starters they want and whatever young player they want for Jaylen Brown (yes I know the money won’t work but fuck it). We need to be trying to lose out to get in the Wemby race or prepping a trade for Jaylen this summer. This team as currently constructed will remain a bottom-tier team no matter the coach!

  6. PoetJustice

Crazy how Trae got 16 FTs and Minny still went to the line more than us.

  7. Professional_Yak7963

this team is what it is hopefully we can get someone like cam whitmore in the draft im tired of our startinf frontcourt

  8. improvementsoup

B2B travel loss. We competed. We didn’t get our bussies blown out like last time. Just a tough loss. Refs are criminals. wcyd

  9. Darthkdot

At this point, whatever happens with the team happens. I just can’t get excited for Hawks basketball knowing that they just give games away like this on the daily.

  10. Eastatlantalit

Hunter jus kind of panicked he could have drove that or passed it to bey who has prince sealed or Bogi

  11. Mass3999

Let’s just miss the playoffs and the play-in, get a lottery pick, and make some moves in the off-season that make us a better team.

  12. Oliphaunt-8

It was a good game. We need need to not have as many turnovers and get more guys making their shots. We’re making progress as a team w Snyder. You can see it in the defense. We’ll get it together- we’ll get that winning spirit.

  13. Professional_Yak7963

i truly belive we would be in the same postion or better with our picks if we kept delon and huerter thats just me tho

  14. Sad_Arrival8002

Deandre Hunter and John Collins for a bag of cheetos keep the change

  15. killadogb

Capela with 8 rebounds? Hunter playing too many minutes he been looking tired in the 4th

  16. atlfirsttimer

Hunter should have been on Kat at the end there.

  17. Professional_Yak7963

im rooting on celtics/sixers downfall this playoffs JB/embiid become available and the draft packages im putting up will move mountains

  18. ProzacDeMarc0

May have been the worst game of basketball I’ve seen in a while. That’s on the players and the refs here. Basically ref ball all game by both teams just foul baiting and the refs were happy to make the game all about them

  19. Professional_Yak7963

honestly what would it take to trade up to the #1 position this year to get Wemby im honestly willing to trade everyone apart from trae lmfao

  20. Professional_Yak7963

maybe schlenk was onto something when he proposed that white/bogi trade last year

  21. Your Atlanta Hawks continue to stay in .500 purgatory by losing 124-125 to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the battle of mid. It was an entertaining long fought battle but the Wolves prevailed in the end with KAT having a pretty good 22-point performance in his return. Although Dejounte was out for us, the Wolves did not play their All-Star Anthony Edwards so it was a fair matchup tonight.

Deandre Hunter was ok tonight which is an upgrade over his past two performances. Hunter had a terrible turnover in the first not catching an easy pass from Trae. He missed another easy pass with 6 minutes to go, but it will show up as a Trae turnover. He had a bad defensive possession jumping into Jaden McDaniels on a fake that resulted in an And1. He had another bad defensive possession going under a McDaniels screen which allowed for an open 3. That said offensively Dre started strong like the past two games. 10 points in 9 minutes on ⅘ shooting including a three. In the second with under 4, he hit a floater off the dribble. He ended the half with 12 points and 2 rebounds. Early in the third, he had his best highlight hitting a driving layup over three defenders. Dre had a bad defensive possession where he bit on a McDaniels fake which allowed him to get a wide-open dunk. A timeout was called right after. Dre’s final shot of the game was a potential game-winner, a last-second three-point attempt that missed. Hunter ended with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist. He was efficient tonight shooting 7/12 and making ⅔ 3pt attempts. He had 4 attempts at the rim hitting 2/4 but was unable to draw any foul calls. I thought he underperformed defensively. It felt like Jaden Mcdaniels was able to get to where ever he wanted. Dre also ended the game with 5 fouls while racking up 0 steals and 0 blocks. Although the numbers say he was efficient I still felt like he was mediocre overall. B- for Dre tonight.

Trae… was a mixed bag tonight. Trae got the offense rolling early scoring 7 early in the quarter. He ended with 9 thanks to two free throws at the end of the quarter. In the second with under 6 Trae hit a three off a screen. On the next possession, Trae used his foul drawing animation and had a rough fall that he had to walk off. With about a minute left, he drew a 3-point foul on McDaniels. Trae ended with 16 points on 4/10 shooting including a perfect 6/6 from the line. To start the third, Trae had an incredible lob to Clint from the 3pt line and hit a three off a Capela screen next possession. What stood out the most was his foul drawing with the notable ones being on Alexander-Walker. With about 4 minutes left in the fourth Trae baited McDaniels into a foul while coming off the screen. This one was especially controversial as the opposition wanted a challenge ( which they had used). It also got “ref you suck chants”. With about a minute left, Trae found JC on a fast break for a dunk that didn’t get a foul call. Trae drew a foul on Gobert with 50 seconds left. I felt like there were times in the fourth when he put some effort in on defense and was even able to make a play. Trae ended the game with 29 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists on 6/16 shooting, or 37.5%. He was efficient in 2 areas the first being three-pointer shooting where he made ¾. The second was getting to the line where he shot 14 of 16. That said, even though he was able to draw fouls the efficiency still isn’t cutting it for me on top of that 6 turnovers (some untimely) hinder the 8 assists. I feel the -13 net rating was earned but without Trae, we would have gotten blown out. For those reasons, I can’t give him higher than a C+.

JC was ok. With 6 minutes left in the first JC couldn’t control his handle and lost the ball for a turnover. With under 5, JC had a driving layup with a foul. JC hit a three a couple of possessions later. In the second JC had a turnaround jumper with under 5 to go. On the Hawk’s final offensive possession of the half, JC got a putback off a Trae miss. JC ended the half with 14 points and 5 rebounds on 6/8 shooting. This was his best half since the Warriors game and he got it within the flow of the offense. After that, he didn’t do much else other than a fastbreak dunk in the fourth. He didn’t even get one more rebound. JC ended with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists on an efficient 7/9 fg and made ½ threes. No steals and blocks tonight and had 5 fouls. Because of his performance in the first half ill give him a B-.

AJ Griffin had 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists on 2/4 shooting. AJ hit a nice euro step in transition with under 2 in the first. In the fourth, he hit a pull-up jumper. Not too much from him tonight. C for AJ.

Bogi was fine. With under 2 minutes to go in the second Bogi hit a layup over Gobert off a Capela dribble handoff. In the third, he hit a timely 3 to cut the deficit to one. In the fourth, he had a steal and went all the way for a layup. With about 5 left, he hit a shot off an out-of-bounds play. With about 2 minutes left, he hit a heavily contested shot that bounced around to cut the deficit to one. Unfortunately, Bogi missed the shot that could have sealed the game with an open three from a Trae drive and kick out. That said he did most of his damage in the fourth hitting 3/6. He missed all but one three-pointer in 6 attempts. I also saw some defensive lapses although he got 2 blocks. I’ll give him a B- for tonight’s performance.

Clint was good. 11 points and 8 rebounds on ⅚ shooting with 3 assists. His biggest highlight was hitting an And1 layup with under 8 minutes to go in the third over 3-4 defenders. He helped out on the offensive boards with three. B for Clint.

Okongwu was good. I think the player of the game goes to him. He ended with 14 points and 7 rebounds in 18 minutes. I felt like he made his imprint on the game in the fourth. OO had a nice block from behind on Gobert. A bit after he had an easy dunk in transition. Later OO had a block on Naz Reid followed by an And1 from a drive on offense. There was a three-point attempt that air-balled. Unfortunately, he got benched once he picked up his 5th foul. Out of all the guys who had 5 fouls tonight OO’s defense was the most impactful and made a difference. I’ll give OO an A- for tonight.

Seddiq Bey was good. 16 points and 6 rebounds on 4/9 shooting. He hit 4/7 shots from 3 all in 19 minutes. He had some good plays in the 4th. With under 10 in the fourth, Bey drew a nice foul using the euro step. There was also a step-back 3 that swished in the net. He also got to the line twice. I think he was an overall positive scoring-wise. B+.

Aaron Holiday was good. Only 4 points but had 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. On ⅖ shooting. The defense was pretty helpful along with the playmaking. He made things happen on the floor. For that, I’ll give him a B.

Garrison Matthews hit a three while shooting ⅓ total. C+

We play the Pacers Saturday. See yall then.

  22. TRIPITIS

T young is a foul baiting bitch. I’d hate to be a fan of the hawks bc he is such a fucking loser

  23. The reffing tonight reminded me of when the nfl refs went on strike and there was the endzone catch where one ref called touchdown and the other called interception
