I think he's just been so good for so many years that people take it for granted.
The media does this because they know, or at the very least believe that Giannis and the Bucks are championship contenders. So they show him/them no love, meanwhile trying to talk up other players for the award.
It's a BS tactic, but an effect one. Glad to see other people see through the media's mind games.

Kendrick Perkins is a low I.Q. clown & about to become part of Bob Iger's Body Count @ESPN ,

Giannis should be League MVP at least 5 times so far and it was not even close. This season they will give it to Embid and they will be ridiculed.
Giannis is top 3 on offense. Top 3 on defense. Top 2 at rebounding. He averages 6 assists a game and fascilitates a heck of a lot more. Oh he does all those things AT THE SAME TIME. Giannis is not a two way player.He is a 4 way player now. New category. ALSO Giannis carried the heavily injured Bucks for the first half of the season. And we are supposed to ignore that. AND cherry on top his team is 7 wins away from taking the 1st place in regular season standings. OH and he is the only one from the MVP contenders that has a Championship and has won a Finals MVP.
And that guy is not even in the conversation ???????He should be running away with it !!!!!
Regardless of what he does in his carrer with the Bucks , i live for the day that Giannis goes to a big market team and has a roster that he can cruise with. It will be a dynasty. If he manages to win more Chips with the Bucks ……well then he will ridicule the NBA media to such a degree that they will have either to quit or publicly apologize to the Greek Freak.

You have created the most important video on youtube. Giannis is averaging the 5th most ppg, and of the 50 highest ppg scorers in the nba, 45 play more minutes a game than him. Plus the way he scores electrifies his team and the crowd. Giannis is best player on the planet. Humble. Works so hard. Loyal to the small market. Embiid is awesome! I don't ignore that. But Giannis is best player on the best team… A team with great culture and has awesome role players that support the team goal.
I honestly don't care too much who gets MVP but I disagree with people who think Jokic must win a third or he's been wronged. I don't think Jokic or Giannis are sooo much better than someone like maybe an Embiid or Tatum that they HAVE TO get every MVP. It's somewhat subjective which stats to look at to make you "the best" and I think MVP should not always go to the same guy with .5 more assists and 1 more point cause stats.
I'd love to see Embiid get it or someone new if their stats warranted it. Giannis and Jokic have already gotten the recognition and Jokic still doesn't have a championship and I guess gets hunted in the playoffs I think I heard said. It seems hard to suggest Jokic get it when they have a worse record than the Bucks or Sixers and he's never won a championship after getting MVP twice.
As for Giannis though you seem to be pulling the stats you agree with and just ignoring or talking down about any stats that don't make your case. Giannis is a trash FT shooter and a trash 3pt shooter shooting 54/28/64. He's not perfect. And Jalen Brunson who you are so mad got player of the month is shooting 49/41/83. And as you show, Brunson is having to play 37.8 minutes a game while Giannis was playing some seriously relaxed 28 mpg.
If Giannis wins that's fine with me but he ain't miles better than his competition.
Oh and the fact he stayed with the Bucks is great. F the Lakers and other big markets that think they "deserve" to always have the best stars in the game. And stars that run off to places like that for money and cash and branding screw whatever sense of balance does exist in the league.
