Yes. They’re the best three players

  2. DryRespect241

He’s definitely moving in the right direction for that I think, he’s out hustling Marcus just a bit when they’re both on the floor

  3. Inevereverlikedyou

    Yeah. I’m good with that.

Timelord plays as much as KD at this point.

  4. tonylouis1337

I don’t think we have a Big 3, we have a duo and then any amount of guys who step in and help get the win

  5. I disagree.

Horford imo is the 3rd most important player. The stats won’t show it.

What he brings to the table as a defender, shooter, playmaker, veteran leader, and all-round solid play is very important to our team. In today’s era especially, having a Center that can shoot and create space is great to have.

Not to mention that he’s our top 2 option to defend Giannis and Embiid.

I love what White and Smart bring to the table, but we have some replacements if one of them goes down. Brogdon can slide into the lineup for them easily.

No one on our team can replace Al.

a healthy rob is certainly a debate but yeah it’s been d white all year

  7. Royal_Ramble

If we’re having a hard time identifying who our 3rd best player is, it’s a good problem to have.

  8. Smart will pancake Giannis or Embiid in the playoffs and everyone will remember how valuable he is. But White is right there.

  9. Videogamesandshiz

No. We don’t have a definitive third best player. You can make a case for brogdon, smart, rob, horford and dwhite as the third best player. That’s what’s so great about this team

  10. YRwerunning

I love all of our PGs, and Smart might be having the 3rd best season out of all of them right now, but I am not ready to entertain the notion of so explicitly ranking anyone above him

  11. youkrocks

Rob is the best ceiling raiser, and is the 3rd most important player for securing a title, but White is so important to what the Celtics do when they’re playing the way they need to.

I don’t really care. Love D-White, but it seems like people only bring up the “3rd best player” discussion as an excuse to hate on Smart.

  13. DieYuppieScum91

It’s Rob, when available, and it isn’t close. When he’s not on the floor, we consistently get our asses beat on the boards and our interior defense goes to shit. Buffalo has been super productive this year, I’m not trying to undersell him, but Timelord is a gamechanger in ways that White isn’t just by nature of his size and what he provides that no one else on the roster can really replicate.

  14. If only RW3 could stay healthy.
    But this is fine.

  15. JPCBeaverBoy

Idc who people wanna call the big 3 of our team if we winning

  16. Jokesiez

I wish Blake could get them damn spring legs back

  17. TreyAdell

Derrick has to do it in the playoffs. Marcus has had an enormous amount of big games for this Franchise in the playoffs along with Al. A nice regular season isn’t vaulting him over those two.

  18. sno_cone_thehomeloan

man y’all can say what u want but to me the core of the Celtics franchise is Brown Tatum and Smart . Marcus Smart has been thru it over the years in Boston when so many players were in and out . dude was here in the IT era . He’s also literally DPOY and a pretty good offensive PG on top of that .

ex . you know how we always dominate Philly ? that isn’t happening without Marcus Smart . he takes a lot of bad shots and i’ve wanted to trade him in the past but at this point he’s core .

  19. Organic_Climate_7585

Is it really necessary to have this debate over who is the third best player and compare our guards against one another? Let’s just be happy that we have a team where multiple guys can step up on any given night.

  20. r_rembrandt

    Bucks fan here,
White alone almost beat us the last time.
White is definitely on the radar of “That dude”

and Giannis may be the best player in the league,
Horford definitely made him his son last playoffs
