Ed has an excellent episode on Carino’s podcast “Voice of the Nets” that I really recommend. The guy has been through a lot, but seems like the most humble and grateful dude. I liked him before I listened just off his energy on TV but that really made an impact on me hearing his story.

Summer’s definitely a better backup PG option than Seth, who should stick to SG. I hope he sees more minutes before the end of the season

Only our coach doesn’t seem to understand. Sumner literally won us multiple games this year and has been great almost every time he gets a shot

I wrote before how i would love in the off season if the team got a on ball defender for speedy gaurds that can handle the ball. I completely forgot that Sumner fill the role pretty well. I hope he gets more minutes

Sumner in his post game interview said … if I’m walking I’m ready to play. In this load management era, this is what I like to hear.

I’ve been rocking this flair since that Pacers game early in the season. Sumner is exactly the kind of player who should be getting solid rotational minutes on this team. I hope JV sees his impact and continues to give him run. He makes mistakes and misses layups sometimes, sure, but his hustle is unmatched (well, except by Yuta), and he has a super unique skill set for this squad that can be perfect in the right situations. That play at the end of the third quarter last night (I think it was the third) where there was 4 seconds left and Sumner took the inbound and sprinted the full length of the court and got a layup was the perfect example of knowing when to use the right man for the right job.

Sumner is always a spark to the offense. Needs to come off the bench more for sure

Sumner brings a tempo to the game that the Nets really don’t have in anyone else. Everyone else is very deliberate and work more off feints and pump fakes. And that type of speed makes the game easier for everyone else because it changes how the defense has to account for him.

Every time I see Ed play, I feel like he deserves more minutes. I just don’t know why he gets phased out for Seth, who will be gone this offseason
