One more thing i do gotta say is that altho we still lose a lot of rebounds we aren’t getting outrebounded nearly as often on both ends which is great
Man, it’s a shame there’s no excitement or suspense at all in these games where we’re one game under .500 because it’s just a foregone conclusion that we’re automatically going to win
All we do is mid
O really gonna need to start splitting minutes with Clint soon. He’s a difference maker.
I’m gonna need more minutes from MVitP
Okongwu is proof that high lottery draft picks do matter
All things as it should be
Good win
Lauren Jbara out here dressed like Arthur
I guess after this game we’re trading Clint Capela and building around Dejounte Murray…
Cavs post game thread gotta be the saltiest thread I’ve seen in a minute 😂😂😂
not even one of the worst performances of the season from Trae can stop the one game below .500 Hawks. CAW CAW CAW
i love OO always makes me smile when hes performing well which is a lot recently!!! ❤️❤️
Cavs starters playing 40 mins each WTF
Got the win and a Vit sighting! Good day!
cavs fans mad af you’re a playoff lock pls be fr LET US HAVE THIS
I would like Snyder to close with a different unit. Just the closing. Don’t care about who starts.
why should hunter have more of a usage rate than JC it doesnt make any sense and im not even a big fan of JC just think hes the better player
Trae leads the league in turnovers per game. Yikes
So we win the next and the lose 1 or Do we lose one then win the 1 after ? 😂 #0.5season #wemove
Don’t go to the post game thread on nba because it’s basically the rest of the nba against the Hawks. Apparently now win or lose the Hawks are a dirty team and can’t win without foul baiting so I’m telling you so you don’t get pulled into it like I did. They’re downvoting pretty much every Hawk flair
If this team can win game 1 of a series we can win every series in 7
everytime i see someone complain about traes TOV rate i have to laugh if u dont like it u can go be a fan of tyrese haliburton
Our 4th quarter offense gives me cancer but we got the Dub 🦅
Who do you think the 9th player should be once JJ is back?
Your 73-9 when under.500 Hawks survive a 44-point barrage from Donovan Mitchell and are now balanced at .500. We win 120-118.
Trae had a slow start and ended the half with 4 points on 0/6 shooting and 5 turnovers. With under 4 minutes in the second Trae got his first points off a foul from a drive. The same thing happened in the next offensive possession. With under two, he found Clint for a lob. Trae used his foul-drawing animation with under 10 in the third but didn’t get a call. Trae hit a step-back three with around a minute to go in the third. In the fourth Trae hit a step-back 3 over Rubio. There was a weird sequence where Trae tried drawing a foul and he threw it up. Bey got a rebound and Trae tried a floater which got blocked. Trae got his rebound and after getting trapped passed to Bogi which forced him to put up a shot that clanked off the glass. Trae also got fouled on the final possession of the game and missed a free throw. Luckily the Cavs had no timeouts left so they couldn’t get a good shot off. Trae ended the game with 16 points, 10 assists, and 1 rebound, and a steal on 4/15 shooting, or 26%. Trae cleaned up the turnovers in the second half and ended with 6. Not a great showing from Trae. Although he was inefficient he was at least able to get some assists but the 6 turnovers are too much. I also want to point out that he was missing his free throws tonight (6/9) which he needs to make if he is not shooting the ball well. Defensively he got cooked when he had to guard Garland or Mitchell. C- for Trae tonight.
Dejounte Murray was great tonight. With under 7 minutes in the second quarter, Murray hit a pull-up midrange jumper from the corner. Murray drove to the rim and got surrounded. He was still able to make a wrap-around pass to Clint for two. With under 5 minutes to go he hit an and1 three-pointer and made the foul shot. Murray ended the half with 17 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists on 7/11 shooting. To start the third Murray hit a contested midrange over Mobley. With around 10 Murray hit another midrange shot and on the next possession, he made a pretty contested three and received his second 4-point play. Unfortunately, he missed his free throw. With about two minutes and fifteen seconds to go, Murray drew another foul on a three-point attempt. After some commotion from the Cavs, they challenged the play and it was luckily unsuccessful. With a minute left to go he hit, you guessed it, a falling midrange shot. With about 40 seconds, Murray had a hero ball possession which resulted in Mitchell poking the ball out of bounds. The rest of the team had to rush a shot with 5 seconds left. Murray ended with 29 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals on 11/22 shooting including 3/7 from three. Murray had green machine equipped tonight because he was hitting smothered contested midranges on his opponents. In his shot chart, he had a couple of floater-range shots and no layups. He played pretty much the same as he always does but was making shots. Defensively I thought he wasn’t amazing although he got 2 steals. B+ for Murray tonight.
Bogi was fine. 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists on 4/8 shooting including 3/6 from three. Bogi had a confident three in the first where he already knew he made it and was walking down the court before it went in Steph Curry style. To start the second Bogi used the pick and roll to make his way to the basket for a dunk. Bogi him a nice three with 4:44 left in the game. With under a minute left, he hit a step-back 3 over Osman. He hit his shots and did it efficiently. B-
Bey was good tonight. 11 points,10 rebounds and 3 assists on 4/8 shooting and ⅕ from 3. Basically he made all his shots inside. Bey had a nice contact finish of LeVert with around 9 minutes to go in the second. Bey hit nothing but net from a Trae assist. He had 3 offensive rebounds which helped generate second chances. I’d also like to point out that I think Bey moves well off the ball and is also a willing passer. B for Bey tonight.
Even though Dejounte was on fire tonight, I have to give the player of the game to OO. He put on a master class tonight and ended with 21 points (tying a career high), 9 rebounds, and three blocks on a perfect 5/5 fg. This is his second game in a row where he went 100 percent from the field. He also went 11/12 from the line. He nearly had a perfect game!! To start the second OO had a nice contact finish over Ricky Rubio. In the third OO hit a nice put back off a Bey miss. With around 2 minutes in the third OO had a get that outta here block on Mobley that resulted in a foul. In the fourth OO had a nice sequence of catching a lob from Trae and then getting a block on the other end. He then had a nice put-in over Mobley with around 9 to go. With under 6, he had a block, when the Cavs got their rebound he contested another shot pretty well but ended up fouling Lamar Stephens. I also liked how Quin rode OO when he had his takeover activated. Defensively he played his heart out with 3 blocks and multiple good contests. Okognwu was great! A+
Deandre followed up his 17 points on 8 of 20 shooting performance with even more rubbish. 7 points and 6 rebounds on 3/12 (25%) shooting. He also went 0/2 from three. Deandre got his second bucket off a banked floater. On the next possession, he had a pretty bad miss on a similar shot coming from the corner. Hunter had a nice putback from a JC-missed three. With around 6 minutes to go in the third Hunter tried to get back at Mitchell, who was cooking him the whole game. It ended with him getting blocked at the rim by Mobley. With under 4, Dre missed a turnaround midrange jumper. He put up these awe-inspiring numbers in about 40 minutes of game time. He finally got to the line tonight and made 1. I’m pretty sure that was from a technical free throw. Defensively, he was fried chicken out there! Cooked! I get Donovan Mitchell is a great offense and will probably get his numbers but I felt Dre didn’t make his life hard at all. There were multiple times when he died getting over a screen. No steals or blocks. 6 rebounds are above average for him but he is 6 foot 8 inches. Not much more I can say for how disappointing he was. F! F! F! For him tonight.
In an interesting decision, Quin put in Vit Krejci. I like the experimentation with other players in the lineup. He had a nice sequence as a secondary passer getting the ball in the PNR and making a pass to Bey who missed the three. He ended with 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 9 minutes. He defended Mitchell for a few possessions. He was alright C+
Clint was good at 12 points and 10 rebounds and 2 assists on 6/10 shooting. A moment that stuck out to me was when he drew a nice charge of Mitchell with around 4 to go in the game. I think it was a fairly standard Clint game both on offense and defense. B+
JC was good tonight. 12 points and 7 rebounds and 2 assists on 4/9 shooting. After nearly 70 games in the season, I think we can say his three-ball is back! Tonight he made ¾. This means he only made one shot inside which was a powerful dunk in transition from a Trae pass. So pretty much the opposite of a typical JC game this season. With under two minutes to go in the fourth JC off a Trade pick and roll threw a lob to Capela. He was fine in general B for JC.
We play the Nets Friday. I’m particularly interested to see how Dre does versus Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson. I’ll see yall then!
sixers and celtics sitting their stars last two games 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

(trae was trending bc of taco tuesday/parlays)
Who was was the famous dude sitting courtside in the neon green-yellow outfit tonight with his kids?
Edit:This is a serious question. My bro and I were sitting next to them and have no idea who he is.
Best moment from tonight was that Bob call. “My clothes are going out of style” after the refs were taking forever
Hawks played under control down the stretch. No iso Trae/Murray, no hero ball, no fumbling the ball out of bounds, no quick shots and the ball touched everyone hands. Good job! Hopefully this is a sign Quin is starting to put his DNA on the team.
