There's a lot of names available
Frank Vogel
Jerome Allen
Sam Cassell
Nate McMillian
Becky Hammon
Jerry Stackhouse
All better candidates than Casey.
He Should NOT But Because Of Cade's Injury, He Will #DetroitBasketball
I also think the problem is these players don’t know how to win. I think it is the perfect time to hire a hc as this team should have 15+ more wins next season compared to this season
He'll definitely be back for the start of the 2023-24 season but if I'm Troy Weaver….I could only give him a short leash. Like 20-25 games into the season…..Cade or no Cade! As a fan, I've seen enough already. I don't know what they're doing defensively and they need better outside shooting (not Casey's fault here)
He’ll be back they wouldn’t get rid of him until the Pistons start winning then they’ll get rid of him!
You have to have a viable replacement READY to go in order to replace a coach. There is no point in a coaching switch if you don't have an obvious upgrade already in your pocket.
Who do you have in mind who is an obvious upgrade? Casey is a great teacher and mentor of young talent. Why disrupt his plan when you don't have an obvious proven coach as an alternative?
H*** yell, he will be back!
If this happens, it just let's us know Tom Gores is not serious about fielding a NBA team to succeed, just one that shows up to disappoint it's fanbase.
There is no excuse why a franchise with Detroit's success resembles the late 1970s mess Jack McCloskey inherited.
It's time to get a young head coach to invest in and allow him to build that team with management bringing in some impact veterans who will make the young nucleus the focal point of the team
Haven't heard any legit reports that he is leaving which is sad. We want Jerry Stackhouse!!
