genuinely one of our most important players due to this fact. He’s the one that’s gonna guard Donovan Mitchell, Jaylen Brown, James Harden, etc. And then we also expect him to still have the legs to hit open 3s and run in transition
This is no surprise at all. Grimes has been tasked to take on the best offensive players in the league since he got his starting role.
I am damn impressed with his D, and when he is rolling on offense he just shows what a talent he is. I hope with Randle out for the next few games he can get more touches, and gain some confidence offensively.
I have never seen a faster first step on this team, and he could be deadly driving to the basket in addition to his sweet 3 point shot.
He’s been looking like H20 2.0 the last week. His first step is super underrated, this kid can blow past anyone he gets the drop on. And his three ball is extra wet lately. If he peaks right at the beginning of the playoffs, we could see something really special.
I voted for Grimes in the poll asking which young player has the brightest future posted here a few weeks ago. I’m doubling down on that take today.
We all know he’s a great defender but he’s really come along on offense. He’s driving a lot more this season and showing some decent passing skills. His shooting has been erratic but better recently.
In my eyes he’s got the highest ceiling, it’s just a question of consistency.
