I'm not a basketball fan at all, but I gather that this year, all of the really powerhouse teams were knocked out in the earlier rounds, and so all four teams in the final four were sort of underdogs. It is in situations like this where I can become a fan just because of the wonderful nature of a buzzer-beating shot like this one. I feel so sorry for the other team. Those guys looked so disappointed, and I guess with reason. But good for San Diego State!
