Well yea if they were he wouldn’t have gotten such a weird contract

I don’t think he should the starting PG after this season. Would love to have him back but as our 6th man

It was born out of Stephen Silas needing a heliocentric guard to run his offense the way he wants to and Porter being the closest thing he could get his hands on once Harden was traded.

It was pretty clear that while Porter has plenty of skills, being a Great Value Luka Doncic isn’t one of them, but Stone was content to tank while we still had our picks so he was like “holup…let him cook”.

The “KPJ could be an elite sixth man” debate has raged on too long on too many forums for it not to be looked into. But we definitely need someone clearly better at point guarding to take that spot away from him. TyTy might be that guy someday but right now starting him over Porter would look like an unwarranted demotion.

But moving him into the 6th man spot so Harden, the league leader in assists this year despite a usage rating that is tied with Malik Monk and Jaden Hardy, THAT is a much easier sell to the player.

    🙂

Glad the experiment is almost over! Sorry to the nut huggers that told me otherwise

Of course. He isn’t really a lead playmaker or defender, and shouldn’t be your #1 or even #2 option offensively on a good team.

He’d be fantastic as a 6 man though in the LouWill, Jamal Crawford, Jordan Clarkson mold.

Unfortunately this is Kelly Iko. And history teaches us if Iko has an opinion on something the opposite is most likely true.
