LSU defeated Iowa with a 102-85 score for its first Women’s Basketball National Championship in program history. However, the viral moment was Angel Reese’s ring and ‘You Can’t See Me’ (ala John Cena) celebration towards Caitlin Clark right as the game ended. Clark previously did Cena’s move in the Elite Eight against Louisville. This raised controversy on timing and celebrating itself but Nick Wright defends Reese for the taunting. Watch as he breaks down how criticizing Reese and not Clark raises questions about double standards in race and women’s basketball.

Is there a double standard for women's basketball?
Pretending to care about women's basketball to complain about racism is hilarious tbh
Wow, Nick Wright is so right for a change! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
When this is, by far, the most interesting thing to happen in women's basketball, college or pros, all year, or the last two years, that's sayin' somethin'👺
Reese accused the media of calling her to ghetto. Staley accused the media of calling her team monkeys. Why isn't the media digging into this and get those names so they can be fired
You already have people who are not here to listen & pay attention but Nick I'm listening 👂 so continue, IMO Clark got what she deserved
Never going to care or watch basketball so I’ll take your word for it. But I’m sure Caitlyn Clark isn’t upset either.
In my opinion Nick is the best person who talks about race in sports
caitlin clark is annoying af… play defense and score more points and this isn't even a thing. that's all on Iowa.
What he said !!
I thought it was perfect how he started the conversation by saying I’m awake now lmao!! We knew that Nick
Nailed this segment. The racism was just pouring out and it was quite sad, calling somebody classless and talking about their upbringing for a taunt is crazy
The one element that I think is kind of being overlooked is that all of the media was trying to make Iowa lady the face for people to cheer for. I just call her Iowa lady because I’m not confident about her name and I was still kind of cheering for her because of the media narrative around her. If you beat and taunt a face, you tend to be labeled a heel. I’m not going to say racism had nothing to do with it, but I do think basic marketing also played a part.
Here's the difference. No one watches women's basketball. I would guess the majority of people who didn't like Reese's behavior had no idea that Clarke did the same thing. I know I didn't. I watched exactly 1 college basketball game this season – the women's championship. I agree with the rest of the analysis.
More proof to this is if you type in Clark’s name you see ESPN post of her doing the taunts getting praised
You gave the realest take ever n on tv too respect!
There’s a big difference between trash talking during the heat of the game and taunting someone when the game is already over. But Nicky is too emotional to acknowledge that.
Nick loves turning into a SJW.
This was no big deal and it's being used as a big racial issue
Way to go Nick
…now if those two ladies had started throwing it down on center court, it would have been must watch TV, but I wasn’t about to disturb a good nap for a few hand gestures .
