[Shamit Dua] I’ll be honest, and this is through no inside knowledge. But if Z wasn’t at the game yesterday and the update got pushed to tomorrow, I am personally preparing for a shut down. To me if there was good news, they would let it be known asap.

Hope he’s wrong..

He said he even he hopes he’s wrong.

But I’m counting absolutely nothing out when it comes to Zion’s health.

Whats the point of posting this here then?

This is just news guys. Downvoting me doesn’t downvote Shamit ffs.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

First thoughts on best case scenario, they are waiting to see what happens tonight to decide. If we secure the play-in, but 6 looks out of reach, maybe rest him bit.

If the next 2 games look very meaningful, they play him.

But hard to say with such little info, could be anything

  6. Shamit is a good dude and is voicing a concern. I have no problem with his feelings. I personally don’t remember if Zion was at the game last night or not, but he didn’t practice Monday.

I am still of the belief Zion will be back before the season ends and will play in the play in game if we get there. I also understand people bracing for the worst.

At least he’s dropped the pretense of being a “reporter”.

Shutting down Zion when there’s NO injury or structural damage he’s dealing with whatsoever, when the team is about to prepare for a postseason run in a wide open conference, would be grounds for firing the entire medical staff and the FO condoning their BS IMO. It’s one thing when he’s dealing with a straight up broken foot, an injury that kept players like KD, Ben Simmons, and many more out for a year+, that’s understandable…

… but a hamstring STRAIN????? Not a tear, full rupture, etc….. a **strain**. That, by the FO’s public admission, is 100% healed (Zion shouldn’t have ever been cleared for basketball activities, let alone 3 on 3 practice otherwise)??? Which would mean either A. The FO outright lied about his actual status AGAIN, and the injury never healed at all in the first place (Despite the BS “He’s healing normally” PR reports they spoonfed us to delay his timeline by another 2 weeks every update. Or he IS healthy…. but Aaron Nelson is refusing to ever CONSIDER letting him even try to play limited minutes at any point the rest of the regular and postseason, for a playoff push in a Western conference that may not be this open and up for the taking again for a decade… for no reason other than, what? Conditioning???? And the FO is perfectly okay with that?? Again, either are grounds for a complete organizational clearing house to me.

Remember last year when every reporter said Zion wanted out?

If you count on anyone other than local media for Zion reports, you should know better by now.

Nah I have faith we get great news this week and a concrete return date for Big Z. That doom and gloom is just speculation.

But If we are going to speculate then who is to say Z doesn’t fly to California or somewhere for his scan because of the quality of doctor.

If that’s the case it makes sense he was not with the team last night.

And because Coaches first focus on the game today/yesterday it makes sense we have no update.

Shit maybe they said hey Z your scan looks great we are going to announce your return Thursday. Spend these days fucking getting your mind ready for the “he looks too heavy” comments

Just gonna keep hammering this point: Given Zion Williamson’s injury history mixed with the team’s handling of his injury rehab and medical updates, there’s been absolutely ZERO reason to believe he would return this season following his setback during the all-star break.

Talk about drawing conclusions. Sounds just like last year when everyone was down on Zion for no apparent reason.

We need to have a serious look at our medical staff this off-season

This is why I already accepted in my mind he’s done for the season. You can’t let me down if I was already down to begin with.
