The thing that’s so frustrating about this Grizzlies team is just how little you get to enjoy the success as a fan, when a collapse is seemingly always creeping around the corner… And I swear just about every big lead this year has precipitated a let down, even in the games we ultimately win. I can’t tell if it’s a cultural issue, a coaching problem, youth… Whatever it is, it’s not *just* because we’re on the 2nd night of a b2b and it’s not *just* because we’re missing players.

There’s no way it doesn’t cost us big time in the playoffs. But I’ll have the oven preheated for some crow just in case they prove me wrong.

Mavs won so that loss isnt THAT bad, but the continuous breakdowns in clutch situations while playing great prior to is definitely a concern for the playoffs

  3. Jenny_Fartaway

Of all nights, why was tonight the one they decide to shoot fucking meteors?

  4. tanneroni9

Jesus even the game thread in this sub is toxic as hell after a team resting it’s best player and a pivotal role player while having Steven Adams out and Clarke out for the season loses to a team fighting for its playoff life in OT after a crazy comeback. Chill the hell out

  5. BlacksmithOk5553

All we do on the road is go up big, choke then go down then tie the game up then inevitably lose.

But who cares Mavs saved us

  6. sheetsofsaltywood

Love this team, but playoffs are gonna be stressful. Can’t help but feel like every home game is a must win and as soon as we lose in the forum, that’s the round we exit. Can’t close 4th quarters on the road.

  7. sharper1mage

Our game plan was really to dare Herb Jones to beat us. And he said bet

  8. ShonashRavine

Thank you, Dallas! This loss was meaningless.

  9. NoirPochette

Pellies were on fire in that stretch which gave them so much momentum till they screwed that but also came back from that

Grizzlies didn’t play awful but they did seem gassed as the Pelicans caught on fire. Nothing to be really negative about. Fair play for the Pelicans for playing well for about 8 minutes in the 4th.

NBA ball always about runs. It’s about weathering them

  10. It’d be nice if we can play you know consistently and not unarchive the whole blowing leads like it’s 2020-21 again.

  11. doggoesmeow

First seed is gone (always unlikely anyway), what needs to happen to lock third seed?

  12. ChickenOvaRice

Pels scored 22 points on 8 possessions in 3.5 minutes to take their first lead since Q1. They had 3 guys score 30 and set a franchise record for 3PM. Refball abounded. We had 7.5 dudes available in the 2nd half. Completely ran out of gas on a travel SEGABABA.

Not too worried about it at all.

  13. Waffleshuriken

Kings lost too so cant be too upset.

Kind of expected this L with how hard the Pels have been playing and the fact the team was missing about half the roster, however the trend of losing double digit leads continues to worry regardless.

  14. Fezinator

Burn the film. This team was gassed, and, after Santi went down, only had 7 healthy bodies to play in the 4th and OT.

Good News: Mavs won, so the Magic Number is down to 1. Bucks beat the Bulls and clinched the best record in the League, so hopefully they rest against us on Friday and we can clinch the 2 seed then.

  15. Professional_Degen_

Daily reminder we traded the pick that became Trey Murphy to move up and draft Ziaire Williams

  16. WonderingCashew

That stretch from NOLA was surreal. Just raining threes. Not fussed about the loss they were scorching in the 2nd half. The FTs to Ingram were bad if he makes those then hats off to him got to be smarter and not foul on jumpers

  17. Kalil4Real

So frustrating man it’s been like this the last few games too we just can’t for the life of us hold a lead atm. Watching Nola shoot like 10 3s in a row in that 4th made me want to tear my eyes out and it didn’t help that the refs made sure the Grizzlies had little chance of getting the lead back. Just an all around bad game to witnes. I envy everyone that spent their time doing anything else.

  18. Seymour_Says

Sucks to lose but we were shorthanded on the road on a back to back. Up big and lost a lead but we did fight back to force OT after being down 6 with a few seconds left. They shot lights fucking out from 3 but we need to guard the perimeter better before it bights us in the ass. Jaren with a 40 piece, 2 clutch FTs to force OT, plus 4 blocks and a steal! 🦄!! DPOY!! Grit and Grind Forever. On to the next

  19. bossfoundmylastone

All in on Santi and Steven injury news. If neither can play we’re kinda fucked.

Playoff-eligible guys on the roster who you could attempt to play at PF or C:

    – Jaren Jackson Jr (starter)
    – Xavier Tillman Sr (starter)
    – David Roddy – 6’5″
    – Jake LaRavia – 6’7″
    – Ziaire Williams – 6’8″

    This could get real rough

  20. DirtyPlayerSuperfan

The worst part of this loss is that we wasted an efficient Dillon game. Gonna be another 10 before we see the next

  21. Bali1711

That was not a bad game to lose considering the Kings also lost, I would much rather face that pels team in the first round then anyone else and helping them win makes it much more likely they end up in that 7-8th seed. And less likely the Twolves make the 8th seed

  22. Dazzling_Ad4652

This team makes me want to kill my self

  23. RockyattheTop

Ehhhh at least we got Ja and not Zion’s fat ass. They can win a battle here and there but we’ll always win the war

  24. Grizz will be aight. Would still love to know why CJ McCollum has played us almost his entire career like he lost a life long friend to a grizzly bear attack and he’s trying to avenge him or something lol

  25. Everytime Murphy gets a 3 it feels like 6. Not going to win many games with them shooting like they did in 2h.

Kudos to our guys for surviving the run and scoring during the 4th. Too many Jitty minutes sadly.

Tyus is inches from a triple double and is -25 is Al we need to know about this game
