  1. People who think its kyrie’s fault just hate him. He has been playing well, and has been a class act so far.

  2. Known-Customer88

It has nothing to do with Kyrie, we just traded away our only good defender we had.

  3. Lurking10169

Microwave culture. Everybody wants everything and they want it yesterday. Getting Ky was undoubtedly the right move (assuming he re-ups, which I think is a safe assumption)The talent level on the roster needed to be upgraded, and adding a HOF’er who is still hooping at an elite level certainly qualifies. Nico’s hard work is done. Not saying there’s not work left to do, but upgrading around the margins is much easier than adding All star level talent. Check back after next offseason, I have a feeling articles of a different sort will be written about the Kyrie effect

yall mad but the evidence speaks for itself

  5. Picklez321

If Luka had stopped crying, mavs couldve already secured the play ins spot

  6. PM_ME_UR_RESPECT

Due to his history, I will be one of the first to call out Kyrie if he’s causing chaos. That being said, I’m not picking up on him being the cause of this shitty season. He’s doing what he should be doing.

The big problems are defense, rebounding and free throw shooting, in that order.

  7. Jackfitz88

They really have a hit out on this dude, no wonder why he acts the way he does towards the media. He is the LEAST of our problems, he’s been really good with us.

We need a center, rebounding and some actual wing defense for this duo to work. It’s like all these so called journalists DONT watch the mavs but continuously talk nonsense about our team and not what our real issues are

  8. swoleswoleswole1869

Teammates love him. Past teammates speak him in glowing terms. He’s not a problem as much as the roster construction and general effort on defense. If we could take Reggie’s defense and THJ’s 3 pt shooting and put them in one player we’d be in the playoffs.

  9. Shanknuts

He’s a bit like Terrell Owens in that he gets his buttons pushed by the media at times and people dogpile on his quotes and beliefs. On the court or the field, they’re awesome and their teammates want them around for the most part. Does Kyrie say some dumb stuff? You know he does. But should it define him as a player? No and we saw that last night. He’s brilliant.

  10. Calliesdad20

Before Kyrie the mavs are fighting for the 4 th seed after kyrie they are going to miss the play in but he’s blameless

  11. gargoyle187

He’s literally done nothing wrong since he’s been here lol

  12. Jack_Bryant

There’s a lot of problems people might have with Kyrie Irving, but he’s been nothing but a normal, professional, very good basketball player with us. These hit pieces expose shoddy organizations.

  13. RedMansGr33d

Yikes, what a trash writer and article.

  14. Lourdeath

Mf’er says “Uber talent” and I immediately stopped reading the article

  15. notsure9191

Sports media is very disconnected from the majority of sports fans

  16. Any-Establishment-15

Writing an article on a player you obviously haven’t seen play

  17. cskoogs1

Never thought I would be a Kyrie defender, but these stories are so fucking lazy and ignorant, and every major media outlet has their version of this same story.

  18. The-Consuier-of-meme

This is coming from a Nets fan, Kyrie has not been a problem for you guys at all. No wonder many players hate the media.

  19. Damedius33

It’s the Mark Cuban effect. Dude always thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. He hired Nico because he doesn’t care about having a competent GM, just someone he thinks can get stars to come here.

  20. Putrid_Ad_2256

Who the hell is this Bill Reiter hack? He sounds like a cancer that doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

  21. teeth4wolf

All the flat earth stans will defend him, but this article is the truth. Teams improve w/o him, and Dallas is just the latest team to do worse with him.

  22. OftenCavalier

He seems great player and involved, but Mavs team composition sucks. His press conferences are either hilariously bored rambling, or long insightful comments, sometimes both.

Media are really full of themselves and obnoxious.
