What people don’t understand about the whole “Trade Trae” nonsense is that there’s a lot of other guards that have scored more efficiently this season (Mitchell, SGA, etc) but not a single one comes close to his current level or ceiling as a playmaker
I’m not just saying this because I’m a Hawks and Trae fan but leading the league in total assists back to back years is not a thing to be taken lightly, especially when a ton of those assists come from fairly tough passes
Trae is a passing savant and one of the best playmakers the game has potentially ever seen, his assist numbers through his first five seasons are a pretty good indicator of that
