Scottie Pippen Jr sitting on the bench unlocked Beasley’s 3PT shooting
Rough start but we got it done. Beasley looked great tonight
Beasley saved their fucking asses today.
Silver lining to an ugly W; hopefully Malik is getting hot at the right time and that carries through.
We need his impact.

Alexa play No Hoe by Dlo
I LOVE BASKETBALL
A win is a win
Let’s gooo I’ll always take a W
Ugly win but I still take this any day
team before deadline we would have lost by 20
This game tells me our role players are better than theirs.
Bron and Davis were clearly in auto pilot but they definitely gotta be better against the real deal haha
Phoenix resting starters so game was kind of low effort to start, but D got better as game when on and won by 14. Good enough.
Lol all of a sudden we woke up at the 4th. Kinda confusing win ngl.
Austin Reaves is the goat
Watching Bron and ADs effort tonight made me want to rip my eyes out
Win is a win, I expect a different energy come sunday
we needed this tonight 🥂
happy about the win but damn that looked bad for the first 2/3 of the game. lebron and ad just weren’t trying it felt like
This win, she ugly, but she my girl!
No complaining about a win
Imagine telling someone 5 months ago this team was going to clinch a winning record and top 8 seed
It’s like Stu said, disappointing win.. but a win is a win
Let’s go get that final victory.
Coastiest coast game of all coast games lol. Laker starters got about as much rest as the suns starters did. On to the next one!
A win’s a win at this point. Just get to the playoffs. 1 game at a time. Go Lakers!
…
No words
but a win is a win. onto the last game
Also Stu is fucking funny.
After all that, we covered the spread
These dudes need rest. Must be mentally and physically taxing spending months trying to dig themselves out of that massive hole we started with.
I don’t care if this was a grind out win — the fact that this team can pick up Ws when Bron and AD only combine for 30 pts is HUGE. And the team did it while having an overall terrible game. Pre-trade team loses this game.
Fucking disgusting win. But the W is still a W
LeBron wtf my guy
3 of the past 4 halves from him have been absolutely horrendous, while the other was some of the best basketball I’ve seen him play post-2020
Terrible game by bron and ad. Still win by 14, I’ll take it
Sit Lebron on Sunday, please
Well atleast this game showed our roleplayers can carry our stars, gonna need that in the play-in/playoffs
if lebron and AD show up we blow them out. hopefully they played bad only because they knew they were gonna win even if they didn’t try
We played like shit but D’lo turned into a flamethrower so it didn’t matter
Tbh I’d rather have LeBron and AD play shit offensively now than in the playoffs. It’s kinda nice to still be upset on a double digit win. Beasley, DLo, and Reaves stepped up and that’s what the Lakers need in the playoffs. Great team win overall. Just need to be more focused moving forward.
Also: A WINNING SEASON FINALLY!!! let’s go Lakers!!!
I’m just happy to see LeBron under 30 mins lol
Ham just crashed Reaves post game interview with Mike Trudell chanting MVP, MVP.
What. The. Fuck
Let’s just pray that this was just an outlier game from AD and lebron.. if this is how it is gonna be moving into the playoffs then they can start booking flights to cancun cause they gonna get swept or worse, kicked out in the play ins….
Ham is an idiot, that is all.
Say what you will about this game, but the Lakers won with the LEAST amount of effort possible lol
Everyone saying disappointing win. Did you expect a 40 point dub? They won by 14. Turned it on to close it out.
You all need to watch other top teams play “bad” rosters. This is pretty normal.
Y’all complain to damn much. This team has made a remarkable turnaround from where they were just a couple of months ago. Be happy that we finally have a good team. Once they get more familiar with each other they will go deep into the playoffs and possibly win a Championship.
The good:
Beasley. My gosh, keep it up my guy. There was only one shot he took I didn’t like. A couple chances at driving to the rim that he didn’t take advantage of too. But he was solid on defense and great in transition.
DLo. There are some moments when he pulls up in transition that I just know it’s going to go in. I love his shot selection and even bailed us out late in the shot clock well. I can’t recall more than one bad pass. Overall just really solid.
Reeves. The dude was just pure buckets. He should have had about 6 more free throws too. A couple of miscommunications between him and lebron were uncharacteristic. There were four times I wished he tried to take a charge instead of do a backwards jumping shot or layup contest, especially in transition.
AD had the quietest 20+ boards I have ever seen in my life.
Notable mentions: I liked bamba’s minutes. Rui attacked the basket well when he saw advantage. He also was one of the few lakers to fight for offensive rebounds in the paint; most of the orb were errant shots or long rebounds outside of him. Troy had some great plays and was a net positive more than his +/- shows.
Almost every shot from 3 was a good shot.
The Bad:
LeBron. I can accept that he’s playing it safe and wasn’t very aggressive in the paint, but he was checked out. 5 turnovers, 4 that were really bad. High risk passes. The No look to reeves expecting him to be deep in the corner didn’t need to be a no look. The pass to reeves in the paint from the top of the key was more miscommunication, but reeves is probably not going to get a great shot from that pass anyways. The cherry on top was the skip pass over reeves head when lebron was double teamed. Lebron looked flat on his drives and missed i think a couple fadeaways that he would usually make. He wasn’t getting a foul call to save his life. He was worse than normal on defense. I didn’t see him lead tonight.
AD. He has a really hard time passing out of double teams. His pass is effectively just a reset for the offense rather than creating advantage. Part of that is the lack of off ball movement to create opportunity for him to make a good pass, but even whenever they do move he doesn’t seem to take advantage of it. He was having a rough go of it with biyombo before biyombo left. Wasn’t very good in the pnr (some bad passes as well though, not all his fault) and is still consistently getting the ball 15 feet from the basket. Missed some gimme shots too.
Vanderbilt. Ok on defense. He was a victim more of scheme than anything on that side. On offense teams are starting to try some things out that make him a liability. He didn’t do anything particularly wrong, but still had the worst +/- for mostly good reason.
Rebounding. We looked like we didn’t care. We flat out got beat. So many possessions I count 4 suns jerseys in the paint and one lakers. Or, one suns Jersey and three lakers and the suns came out with the rebound. 12 extra shots for the suns. They could have won this game on that factor alone.
Turnovers. So many unforced errors.
Defense. I’m watching everyone with their hands down to their sides, not closing out well, not boxing out or going after 50 balls. Losing guys in transition. Really didn’t like our choice to go under the pnr on Payne; add to the fact that AD was mostly in drop coverage, even with bigger lineups where we would have had good chances for rotations at the basket. Point of attack defense sorely missed Schroeder.
Ham. I didn’t see many adjustments. It’s like he assumed we would win on talent alone. Should have given rui more minutes, it was obvious he had some great matchups to take advantage of.
The refs. They swallowed the whistle until almost garbage time in the fourth, and even though both teams had 12 personal fouls, it was obviously one sided. Lots of missed calls that should have gone in lakers favor. Maybe I’m being a little biased but not to the degree that makes this insignificant.
The schedulers. We’ve had a more favorable schedule than most teams, but this last stretch has been brutal. The collective mental and physical wear on the team to fight for a .500 record over the past month hasn’t been easy either. The whole team needs rest. The silver lining is the flat performance doesn’t seem to be correlated to injury as much as exhaustion to me.
Ugly win, but I’m glad we got it. I’m uncomfortable with the 7 seed but it exceeds my expectations pre-trades.
