They need defense because both Luka and Kyrie don't really play D. Luka can get some rebounds but when it comes to locking opposing player down they both are lacking. Really I don't see why you'd want them on the court at the same time but they're both starters and it's stupid to pay them what they do deserve and not start them both.
So uhhh remember how the Mavs last year made it to the Conference Finals by having shooters around Luka while sporting an elite defense. Anyone who looks at Mark Cuban's 23-year track record as owner knows that Cuban is one of most meddlesome, arrogant and mistake prone owners in the NBA. He had one of the Nelsons around to talk some sense into him from time to time before, but he fired Donnie Nelson last year. Cuban hired a Nike shoe guy to replace Nelson — which basically means Cuban is 100% behind wrecking the team. So don't blame the players — blame the guy who makes the bad decisions.

I think that RFA is Coby White, he has improved his shooting and defense over the past few years with BULLS. another RFA is Rui Hachimura, idk if the LAL are really gonna pay up for him, but he would look good in Dallas. and with that top 10 pick, draft Edey from Purdue. he can come right in, be that center needed, average 15+ points 10+ rebounds 2+ blocks. then fill up the rest of roster with other free agents. but then your new starting lineup would be Coby White, Tim Hardaway Jr., Luka Doncic, Rui Hachimura, Zach Edey.
