I feel so bad for him… mental illness and drugs. Not a great combo.
I hope he can find the help he needs and has the strength to take advantage of it. knowing people that went down the same path though the prognosis is not good.

the music overlay is disgusting, this is the real world, this man is actually struggling

This is sad as hell. I enjoyed Delonte’s time here; I thought he was one of the more impactful pieces we got in the big 2008 trade. His numbers weren’t memorable, but he defended, shot and handled the ball reasonably well. It’s disappointing so much baggage is associated with his name as he’s clearly experiencing difficult, life-altering circumstances.

Pretty sure this is a very old video. People have tried to help West but he always slips back into addiction

This is old news, I’m pretty sure Mark Cuban intervened and got him help

I feel bad for him. I think this is newer. Cuban did get him help but he seems to fall off over time. I’d guess he stops taking his medication and then spirals downhill from there. I don’t know if he will ever escape that pattern. I hope he can one day have a better life.

Delonte West was arguably my favorite player when he was in Cleveland. He absolutely left it all on the court.

Is posting the video really necessary? Delonte is entitled to privacy and basic human dignity just like everyone else. Fine to discuss ways to help people with addiction, but this just feels unnecessary.

Think this video is pretty old, Delonte’s been through the ringer man. Pretty sure Cuban tried to help him out but he got arrested quite a few times last year, it’s really sad. These vids pop up every few months or so of him
