[Wojnarowski] The Timberwolves had to suspend Gobert for throwing a punch, but accepted that it was a shot to chest with no intent to injure Kyle Anderson and understood that Anderson called Gobert a “bitch” repeatedly on a night Gobert was playing hurt, sources tell ESPN.

  2. lopea182

This whole ordeal is the Rudy Gobert Fan Club’s 9/11.

  3. YourFlyIsOpenMcFly

Let it be known nobody calls Gobert a bitch multiple times and gets away with it.

  4. The1AndOnlyJZ

Woj continuing to tweet “bitch” without filter is one of the best things he’s done for the NBA 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

  5. Total_Customer_6627

Lol watch the Wolves play better without Rudy

  6. DynamixRo

Woj having the time of his life with these reenactment tweets.

  7. HokageEzio

Woj including that he got called a bitch in the bomb is peak storytelling.

  8. harden4mvp13

Why is Gobert always getting picked on he’s a giant lmfao

  9. Benerinooo

As an unbiased NBA fan, Anderson should be suspended for at least one game as well

  10. VonDestroyedNewton

Let’s talk about Anderson also being a bitch.

He’s acting like Rudy was playing bad on purpose when he just as no aptitude for offense. He works hard, what else can you do.

  11. StraightCashHomie69

So if these reports are true, Anderson was basically putting pressure on Rudy to play through his back injury, Rudy plays with back injury and plays poorly, Anderson then starts being an ass to Rudy about not playing good, Rudy snaps and throws a punch at Kyle. Bottom line you can’t throw a punch like that regardless, but Anderson was being quite a dick head teammate too it sounds like. What a mess we are lmao

Everything and anything can be pro wrestling.

“AEW had to suspend CM Punk for throwing a punch, but accepted that it was a shot to chest with no intent to injure Kenny Omega and understood that Omega called Punk a “bitch” repeatedly on a night Punk was working hurt, sources tell The Wrestling Observer.”

it seriously fits like a glove!

  13. Future_Tyrant

I don’t know why, but I have an image of Andy Cohen moderating a Real Housewives style reunion but for NBA beef.

  14. TestingSomething420

my theory: rudy is injured and cant play anyway, so the heads got together and decided they could save face by suspending him for this game anyway

  15. spbbbbbb

oh my god who gives a shit, a teammate fight is absolutely insignificant compared to a top 5 perimeter defender in the league punching a goddamn wall and missing the entire playoffs what the fuck is going on here

  16. ShinobiBaskets

League needs to investigate The Conn Man for conspiracy against the Wolves this was an inside job

  17. jharden10

Rudy Gobert was wrong for the altercation, but Kyle Anderson shouldn’t be getting off with a pass. As a “leader,” why call out a struggling teammate out of their name like that ? It is completely unnecessary on Anderson’s part.

  18. Kenshin_44

The fact that this happened in their last game of the season meant that this had to have been building up for some time now.

  19. Either suspend them both or handle it internally with fines. But this has become a clown show for everyone to see.

  20. NBA: “Now we’re not saying he should’ve punched him…. but we understand.”

  21. Mygaffer

Half of the blame has to go on Anderson. There is even a legal concept called “fighting words,” which basically are

    >[words meant to incite violence such that they may not be protected free speech under the First Amendment](https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/fighting_words)

and getting in your teammate’s ear and calling him a derogatory term like that may qualify.

Frankly Slo-mo should probably get a fine or something from the team as well.

  22. zapcunotres

Damn the wolves are fucked, stupid by Gobert obviously but man Kyle Anderson is such a plug lol

  23. This is like when a newscaster does a quote, all deadpan and professional.

“The situation started when the motorist rolled down his window and shouted “you ain’t shit!”, made an obscene gesture, then sped away. Back to you, Adrian.”

  24. 1337-Sylens

‘called Gobert a “bitch” repeatedly’ I cant

  25. AntiGrav1ty_

Can’t believe the Wolves suspended Rudy for the most important game of the season and the Warriors didn’t even bother to suspend Draymond for the final preseason game when he knocked his teammate out cold over way less…

  26. theEmoPenguin

I’m actually on gobert’s side. Guy is giving it all while injured and some teammate is constantly calling him a bitch?

You can hate big corona all you want, but how would you react in his place in this situation.

  27. Literally why would a teammate call a teammate bitch repeatedly in the huddle? Act like the punch didn’t happen. What on earth? Why wouldn’t the coach tell that jabroni to shut up? Isn’t he the dude who threw the ball over the backboard on a game winning layup attempt recently? This wolves team is a mess, man.

  28. Grunt-Birthdayparty

As Shannon said this morning, Anderson deserved a shot to the chin. I get why people may dislike Rudy and his play but Anderson was acting like the true bitch in this case

  29. Bonzi777

Basically, ‘we’ve got to suspend you because you punched a guy on TV, but yeah, he was definitely asking for it.’

  30. Vitis_Vinifera

since we are adjudicating all the components of this altercation, has it been determined if Rudy Gobert is indeed a bitch, as alleged?

  31. Magnetronaap

Why the fuck would you suspend him immediately?! Just pretend you’re figuring out the details and suspend him for the first 5 games of next season.

  32. PepeSylvia11

Still don’t get how Anderson is completely absolved of any wrongdoing in this situation in the eyes of the fans.

You retaliate against someone repeatedly throwing verbal abuse your way and you think that they were faultless in contributing to your retaliation?
