Let’s see how he coaches in the playoffs

  2. Honestly, while I like some things that Mazzulla has done, I’m not that convinced of him being a great coach yet. He hasn’t had any real challenges yet …

Our team is rock solid, with a great core roster and a deep bench. Lot of talented, playoff vets, and we’ve largely stayed healthy this season (with injuries here and there). All the players seem to have good chemistry, and if anything, we’ve underperformed a bit this regular season (especially that rough stretch after All-Star break).

I don’t think our team would have been much worse with any average NBA coach tbh.

I want to see how he does come playoff time, especially if we get behind in series.

I’ll give Mazzulla A+ for his antics though; doing a somersault in front of an injured Smart and saying “You can’t do that”, and fighting ex Celtic Romeo Langford for the ball on the sideline is some A+ grade hilarious shit.

I appreciate how much better hes gotten in just a few shorts months. He’s learning on the fly and adjusting rather quickly, not to mention his best assistant coach left before there were any real stakes. If the Celtics lose in the playoffs it wont be his fault, it’ll be on the players. But they’re winning the chip this season, if they stay healthy…

Uhhh? He’s gotten better but what are you smoking?

Unfortunately all the olds have decided he can’t be a good coach because he is young, and is deadpan with the media, and have infected the discourse to the point that the second-winningest rookie coach in Boston Celtics history (!) is considered a bum.

    It’s fucking embarrassing bullshit.

The second winningest rookie head coach in BOSTON CELTICS HISTORY! Only Bill Russell had a better record in the entirety of the Celtics and people are still like “meh”

We have more wins under him than we ever did when Brad coached the team. The most we had under Brad was 55 wins and we got 57 in Joe’s first year. And that’s ignoring the fact that we could’ve easily got over 60 wins with a few games that we threw away,
