I hope none of the players are calling the shots on how to move forward as a franchise. Because that's how we got here.The Rockets gave Harden to much say and we went to hell in a hand basket. We don't have a Jordan, James, or Olajuwon on the roster that deserves that kinda say.
You say "in fairness to Stone, he inherited a cr*p show," but so did Silas. He had Harden running the show (not showing up for practice/games, & when he did he was out of shape, & fat). Then Harden dissed his teammates. No class. I hope Fertitta is not thinking about bringing Harden back to the Rockets. Plus Silas had Stone telling him whom to play & when — you reported that. Then you compare the Fertitta family (new owners) to the McNairs hiring David Culley. The McNairs have owned the Texans from the start (2001) & Cal was there from the start, so they were hardly newbies when they hired Culley, — and don't forget they hired Easterby & Bill O'Brien too.(& that was way past 2001-2003).
Why wouldn't he defend the culture in the locker room in front of the media? Lol. How are you supposed to attract coaches and free agents by coming out and saying "Why yes! We have the poorest culture in all of basketball!" LOL….I really don't understand why people are complaining about Stone. He has drafted extremely well and has cleared up cap space for free agents, all while acquiring picks to trade as assets. He has done a wonderful job thus far
Jalen's potential is a franchise player, while mobley is a role player. put mobley on the rockets nothing will happen put Jalen on the Cavs for sure they need to trade garland or Mitchell .
Disastrous? Again, the Rockets were instructed to tank by the owner and now Stone's on the hotseat? Houston Talk radio has no clue on nba basketball. The rebuilding process has been successful. We have a great core of young players & tons of cap space. Give our black GM credit
Tillman needs to stay the hell out of basketball duties! Every time a owner is involved with the GM's duties it always goes badly. Why even hire Stone if you're just going to do whatever you want?
Morey mortgaged a lot of the future to win with Harden. Stone inherited that. He's done great repair work considering that. Next season all the excuses are out the door. Everyone, including players, are on the hot seat.
