[K.C. Johnson] Nikola Vucevic on free agency: The Bulls will have priority. I’d like to return. But it’s up to the front office. Open to testing market if need be.

  1. I feel like there are other centers that would be more cost effective than resigning Vooch. Guess it depends on the price though

No way in hell does AKME trade Wendell, two high first rounders, and let Lauri walk for nothing if they were planning on losing Vuc after his current deal.

They hitched their cart to the Vuc wagon and now we are about to see a prime example of the popular redditor term “sunk cost fallacy”.

I think there will be a few playoff teams that are capped out and may look to improve marginally, a s&t is def possible.

  4. People who don’t want him back, who do you think we can get instead?

I like Vooch. I do. He’s a double double machine. I just don’t see how he can be THAT guy in a Giannis and Embiid world. I’d be a lot more comfortable if he were comfortable moving to PF and letting us go get someone big who cares about protecting the rim in ways that Vooch just won’t.

Would prefer to keep him if we can’t do a S&T but I would MUCH rather let him walk for nothing than overpay him just for optics and vanity.

I’d rather have poetl than vooch next year

He’s gonna be sad when he sees the $15M AAV offers he gets. Teams do not pay for non-elite centers these days. I’d rather sign Naz Reid.

Whatever they do with Vooch idc but keep Andre as second
