If you are to start a team from scratch, you definitely begin with a good if not top notch point guard. Then give him his PF or C then his SG and SF. Then fill in decent bench mixed with veterans. IMO

This clown doesnt get that Danny Ainge wasn’t in the market for a fair trade with the Knicks. He was going for the fleece, especially after he basically robbed the timberwolves. If the Knicks traded for Mitchell, they be stuck with two undersized guards and Randle and not much else. No IQ, no grimes, no RJ, no Hart, no picks to improve. They be stuck in mediocrity without any way to improve.
NY Fans be happy for now, Cavs will show up Tuesday, And play much better. Our point guard cannot only have 1 assist , he has to be much better and our bigs won't miss so much around the rim. Cleveland will be ready. Hopefully game 2 is just as close and well played as game 1.
Mavs let go of Steve Nash which could have made them earlier contenders, then they do it again by letting go of Brunson.

Also, Spyda would do to Brunson what he’s doing to Garland. Make him a 2nd option watcher of the ball. It wouldn’t be this Brunson we see controlling the offense. Lastly we would have 2 small guards who get hunted on defense instead on just one. Not to mention we wouldn’t have the picks to improve the team. How Stephen A doesn’t get this is beyond me.

The knicks 2nd unit is pretty much better than all the other teams 2nd units and one of the main reasons for their success this year. To get Mitchell in that trade they would have had to gut the team. He would have been a great addition but not at that price
