CBS Sports 2023 NBA Mock Draft has Nets taking Brice Sensabaugh and Leonard Miller in the first round

OHIO STATE • FR • 6’6″ / 235 LBS
As a four-star prospect ranked 85th in his class, Sensabaugh wasn’t even on the one-and-done radar entering the season. But his production with Ohio State is tough to ignore. Uses his big frame well and smashed in his role as a rotation piece hitting 40.5% of his 3-pointers on the year.

G LEAGUE IGNITE • 6’9″ / 195 LBS
Miller tested the NBA Draft waters and had some first-round buzz before ultimately withdrawing and committing to the G League Ignite. Now he’s built upon that momentum as a scorer and rebounder who, while still a tad raw, has the physical tools and size to warrant mid-to-late lottery consideration.

My experience as a Nets fan in the Marks era leads me to believe every mock draft will say something different, the Nets will end up not picking anyone they say, the pick will either be traded or be used on an obscure 6th man from a lower-ranked major program based on that players freakish ability to do one thing awesome. That player will then become an All Star or fan favorite in less than 2 seasons.

Nah, 2 wings on a team with a bunch of wings under contract. Get some guards and stretch bigs.

Leonard Miller would be a nice get. One of the more athletic players in the draft, has some upside.

Well, It means exactly nothing but I drafted Baugh in 2k and he’s great. In seriousness though, it’s hard to imagine us drafting people in the 20’s and them getting much playing time or having any impact any time soon.

I’m a biased UConn fan but I really hope we take Jordan Hawkins. He’s the perfect Seth Curry replacement that actually plays defense. I’ve seen him projected anywhere from 15-25.
