My number 2 pick would be Josh Giddey very consistent across the season, ending with #2 behind SGA in PTS, #1 in REB, and #1 in AST that's why he achieved 28 DD2 and 4 TD3 add in the fact he is only 20 years old living in another country away from family and friends shows just what sort of character he is.
I like Jalen Williams, and he has a lot of room for growth. I think he can be an All-Star, but I'd still put Giddey before him. J-Dub's responsibility was to score points, bring some intensity with defense and he exceled at emotionally revving the team up. If anything J-Will was as important as J-Dub.
Giddey however improved across the board. Starting with his scoring, showing that next year without improvement he'll be a 19-21 point guy night in night out. I expect it to go beyond that in the second half, depending on how the ball is shared with Chet in the line-up (a good chance that everyone except SGA's scoring goes down). We know Giddey needs to improve at the rim, which he'll do. He'll continue to work on his 3, which he has already made great strides in, and his defense will come along as well, although that will take longer. On top of all of that, his assist rate is phenomenal, especially when you consider how many he SHOULD be making, that his team fail to be ready for, and given that in OKC Mark likes for everyone on the floor to move the ball. Giddey throws to wide-open guys all the time, only for it to be passed away. On any other team Giddey's assist rate would be considerably higher. His rebounding is great, especially when in crunch time. Overall, Giddey doesn't get the credit he deserves for his workload, nor is it appreciated what he's going to be in 2-3 seasons from now.
My Top 5 OKC Thunder Regular Season Games (2022-2023 Season)
1. OKC at LAL (Feb 7 2023)
OKC beat LAL during the night LeBron passed Kareem in the all time scoring list.
2. OKC vs BOS (Jan 3 2023)
OKC blew out BOS in a 150 to 117 win without SGA.
3. OKC at LAC (March 21 2023)
Lu Dort put Kawhi Leonard in the dorture chamber.
4. OKC at DAL (Oct 29 2022)
Isaiah Joe scored 15pts in 9mins and hit a clutch 3pointer to tie the game; OKC eventually wins in OT.
5. OKC vs DET (March 29 2023)
JDub with a clutch put back at the final buzzer to win the game.
if the nba would rig the lottery they'd be insanely stupid to destroy the Mavs while giving the hypetrain even more fuel.
