Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s leaving the Raptors. It looks like Nurse’s comments were more aimed at trying to pressure the Front Office into making major changes this summer instead of running it back with the same roster.
Either way, even without Nurse, there are still plenty of great options available. Udoka (if the personal stuff checks out okay), Atkinson, and Vogel are all great options.
Leverage? Like leveraging his way out of Toronto? Weird choice of words since nothing could ever be officially said on it because of tampering.

This is so silly – very clearly this was ALWAYS a ploy for Nurse to use Houston’s coach vacancy as leverage for his current gig. Maybe he would consider coming to Houston at some point, but the rumor mill was always about leverage.
Dang that sucks because I feel like Nurse could’ve been the most well rounded candidate given that there are offensive concerns with Vogel, offcourt concerns with Udoka, and Atkinson being the only one of those 4 to not have a championship as a head coach as well as maybe defensive concerns
Tough if true. Can’t say I’m entirely sold on Vogel’s ability to put together an offense.
