[King] Malcolm Brogdon said he loves Atlanta and will always embrace his ties to the city, but suggested he was never too big on the Hawks: “Historically, these fans haven’t been the most dedicated. And that’s myself included.”

Welp. He’ll definitely hear it from the fans tonight lol

Did Horford basically say this when he came over? I always felt there was some untapped potential in the ATL market, but truth be told Atlanta is more of a football town (Even baseball). Kinda funny because ATL is not a small market team, but I don’t think the Hawks have the draw past or present like other teams have/had (Lakers,Celtics,Bulls,Knicks,Rockets,76ers,Heat,Suns etc)

Atlanta seems like a very mediocre professional sports city (college is another story). I think it has the same problem that LA and Miami have where it has so many transplants that have stuck to cheering for the teams of the city they moved from.

  4. I’ve only been to Atlanta once, and my guess as to why the fans don’t show up is that traffic is unbelievably awful all over the city. I’d never leave my home if I lived there

  5. I’m amazed they aren’t way more popular than they are. Is everyone in Atlanta just Laker fans or something? Its really frickin lame honestly.

He’ll fit in great in Boston because, coincidentally, we’re not big on the Hawks either

    *Futurama* pretty much handled Atlanta.

The President put a silencer on the rifle he fired shots with.
