And yet the Raptors are basically locked into this same core trying for a low playoff seed for another year. Good luck to Raptors fans paying even more next year to watch this.
Jakob is a solid player but trading a lightly protected 1st round pick for him will make next year’s attempt to compete so frustrating.

Raptors went 15/26 since acquiring Jakob for a .576 win percentage. That win percentage would put them 5th in the East and 8th in the league. Pretty amazing what having an actual center can do. Yet, Nick takes the blame for how the entire season went playing a majority of the season with a roster with poor construction. Insane.

The difference between this year and last year is a fine line. They lost 41 games this year but we’re in so many hames and pissed them away the last 3 minutes of the game. It was so frustrating to watch and different from years passed where the opposite was true. You could feel the team gaining confidence in the final minutes. The story of this year could have been so different with better end of game management. That’s on the coach.
Out of all the straight trash teams I follow (Raptors, Tottenham, McLaren, Blackhawks) this fanbase is the most delusional and blinded by fandom.

New coach isn’t going to fix the fact we have no shooters, no genuine playmaking guards and no bench.
Man I’ll be honest. I don’t feel there was much we could do after covid screwed us over. Even after kawhi left we were like the only team that never had home games because of covid for awhile. Just a constant string of unfortunate events. Forever grateful to kawhi and the rest of that championship squad. Doesn’t matter what happens now it was all worth it.
