  1. Bro not everyone's gonna be a superstar and why don't you say that for all the 14 teams that didn't draft Giannis or the 40 picks everyone had before Jokic. I'l totally understand if it was a top 5-10 pick they missed on but no one at that time would know they would won 2 mvps each. Also how would you know that they will be good in other teams? What if Giannis or Jokic wasn't given the opportunities they have in their teams now. Calling this "mistakes" is a stretch because everyone missed out on them.

  2. Giannis is a project player. Jokic is a 2nd-rounder. No one expected them to be this incredible. Still, Cam Payne at the time was a bad pick. McGary was an awful pick indeed.

  3. Videos like this suck bcs it undermines the whole process that teams go into to pick players. Just using massive hindsight bias to think the average person could somehow do better. These guys get picked for a reason, only mistakes like Anthony Bennett and such could be labeled really bad picks. Lots of guys just develop slower/faster than their draft projections.

  4. I think what people forget about redrafts like this is most players aren't predestined to become stars and players like Giannis probably wouldn't develop into superstars if you put them in a different system

  5. I doubt even if they drafted giannis kd would stay since nobody really even knows about giannis when he was a rookie and tooked some time to develop too by that time kd would've left the okc

  6. None of these matter it was damn near impossible to see Giannis or jokic and draft mistakes for okc are kinda offset by the fact they drafted 3 mvps all back to back to back

  7. No one wanted Jokic or Giannas, both from Europe, not the most athletic ones, Giannas and Jokic on okc wouldn’t play the same

  8. people would’ve burned you alive in 2013 if you tried convincing them some dude from nowhere serbia would be the next big nba star

    hindsight is a powerful thing

  9. But jokic was a second round pick I don’t think anyone thought he was going to be a 2 time mvp

  10. Jokic, giannis, butler, curry, harden these at least the names that I remember they weren't any good and some of them were flat out awful so it's the right thing to pass on them

  11. Reports say Presti wanted Jokic he scouted the hell out of him but management and ownership wanted mcgary same thing happen previously with Antetokoumpo, Presti wants to stash Giannis it was even reported but ownership wanted Adams.

They didn't even listen to KD, Presti was asked by KD to take Booker but guess what ownership got in the way

  12. OKC could've got this lineup

    PG – Russell Westbrook
    SG – Devin Booker
    SF – Kevin Durant
    PF – Giannis Antetokoumpo
    C – Nikola Jokic

    6th – Victor Oladipo
    Bench – Domantis Sabonis
If they still traded Ibaka for these guys still while they got a starting lineup like that then sheesh

  13. Technically everybody could have got jokic. And u left out at a few years before the thunder drafting 3 future mvps in back to back to back drafts

  14. Mitch McGary is the only actual bust on this list. Cam Payne and steven adams are both solid role players and you cant fault the thunder for not choosing giannis and jokic when literally no one in the NBA couldve anticipated they were gonna be this good.

  15. Yeah this guy‘s making videos just to make videos but the thunder were never gonna draft these players and to be fair why would they they were a team that wanted to win now and Giannis would’ve never played on the thunder he got drafted to the perfect situation because the bucks were terrible and they afforded Giannis the ability to grow

  16. Giannis was drafted for potential but the bucks did hard research on him and his genetics and added to his already skill they knew he had another growth spurt coming he looked 16 physically wen he came in the league with great player development they knew it was gunna pay out

  17. Man the draft is like the luck of the draw. Like nobody knew Jokic would become this MVP caliber player. You can’t blame OKC for missing up on him.

  18. Bro said they screwed not drafting Jokic when in reality he slipped to 44. He wasn’t supposed to be a league changing superstar

  19. Cam paynes highlight here is still better than any highlight from Westbrook last season lmao nah I’m playing I saw him hit back to back free throws once

  20. Draft hindsight logic doesn't work, anyone could have drafted Jokic, half the teams could have drafted Giannis. All you can do is draft what's in front of you at the time

  21. People forget the fact they can't see the future.
How are they supposed to know jokic and giannis would panned out like that?🤦‍♂️

  22. I know what you mean, but realistically who would’ve thought Jokic for example would be a 2 time MVP, or Giannis would be a great as he his.
