Udoka with the current nets would’ve gave 76ers problems.
Instead the Nets opted for JV who is basically just another Steve Nash clone, different but totally the same. Same weird line up and awful defensive sets and clueless when it comes to teaching players how to rebound.

The Nets overall as an organization are completely incompetent. This team is never winning shit as long as Tsai and Marks are here. Prepare for another decade of mediocrity. Vaughn should have never become the head coach and he definitely should’ve never been extended. Bad decision after bad decision.

The media was all in on clowning the Nets for hiring him and now will be fully in on clowning the Nets for not hiring him.

Why can’t we just have nice things? Fuck you basketball gods

Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

The PR shit storm would have been untenable if they had hired him, even if he was the obvious best coaching choice.

Apparently all it took was a few months in the cold for the media to forget about the issues he had and off he goes to save Houston leaving the Nets looking stupid.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Don’t remind me… Those pick swaps are gonna sting.

Glad they did. JV is a great representative for the team. Would hate to have to defend my head coach every day for all that nonsense.

It worked out well for us to have JV at the helm.

Nets in’s the losing seat yet again.

Even if Kyrie didn’t resign or asked for a trade I think with Udoka on board the coach decision now would not be in question.

Please let go of Vaughn and go get Nurse or Vogel.. there are competent coaches out there that can grow and develop a younger competitive group I promise you, they both have done it in their career, Vaughn has never done it before not in Orlando and not here in Brooklyn.

Again Kyrie is the root of it all this mess

  11. That’s why you hire and don’t worry about what others think. You what’s best for the team

I think it was the right move. Didn’t need more of a circus than we already had. Coach is as good as the personnel. Celtics are doing well without him. People act like coaches are magicians. Udoka wouldn’t have handled this season much better.

Wow, some of these comments are wild. Unless Udoka was coming with Tatum or Brown, he would’ve gotten swept by the Sixers too. We gave the Sixers a good effort. Frustrated Embiid, the league MVP. Remember that guy? They had the best, second best, third best and maybe fourth best players on the floor each game. It’s a toss-up between Tobias and Mikal. Shit, Red Auerbach isn’t winning that series.

Hiring JV was the right move over Udoka. I didn’t question the game plan at all. We made other people besides Embiid beat us. We did it; failed. Move on.

ky and KD wouldnt have left if we had hired Ime, it’s a shame the media constantly scrutinized us

We are such a loser franchise man. We couldn’t just make the simple move and hire the Elite coach when they were available ….
