Definitely should do this if all it takes is cam Thomas 3future 1s & ben Simmons
Yeah, bring in an aging and injury prone 32 year old player instead of just developing the young 21 year old scorer you already have on your roster. Makes total sense 🙄 .
I prefer trading them Bridges for Simons, the lottery pick, and two protected picks
FYI Claxton is a better piece than Herro
At the end of the day some of you argue that Dames contract and age should keep Brooklyn away from trading for Dame.
However Dame Lillard has already created genuine chemistry by being a fan and supporter of Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson who he wants to play with on the court.
Also looking at Brooklyn vastly improved defense Brooklyn is lacking that 30-40 plus bucket scorer and Dame checks that box.
A new core four of Damian Lillard Mikal Bridges Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton could create some serious noise in the East 🔥🔥🔥…
This all depends on if Dame wants out of Portland….
Regardless Brooklyn goal first and foremost is to focus on making internal improvements to their roster and turning their weaknesses into strengths….
But more importantly Brooklyn main goal this off-season should be to improve the rebounding and aggressiveness on that side of the ball…
Naz Reid would fit this team perfectly given his versatility on offense and defense. Same goes for PJ Washington…
Brooklyn needs to get bigger…
So you both think Ben has no hope of being a good player in the future, why would Portland be interested then, for just dead weight?
I think there’s a decent chance that Dame could say that his preferred destination is the Nets which I think the Blazers would honor
Also the big thing people aren't talking about is how Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson are two loyal hard working competitive players who immediately engrained themselves in the Brooklyn culture..
More importantly they raised their offensive numbers greatly and continued playing strong defense and bringing a competitive energy and focus almost every game….
Brooklyn future is better then it was mainly because Mikal and Cam are loyal guys who want to be in Brooklyn long term.
What the superstar era of Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving and James harden was missing was they weren't LOYAL to Brooklyn long term. Two out of three of them refused contract extensions and the third didn't want to be a leader of the team..
If Brooklyn can create a core that can play together for more then three years then you have a real championship structure to build upon….
I’ve followed Dames career without context sure let’s get him but with context hell no
I think you have a better chance to pick up dlo in a sign and trade. Would go well with your core all being 27.
