He deserves it. Vanvleet and him destroyed the culture of this team with their selfish toxic attitudes. Vanvleet is next to go. And then Siakiam should also be traded. In order to develop the young guys, it’s better to have a new coach as NN always run starters to ground and restore order in the locker room

This is expected from the Raptors organization. The Raptors has a tough decision ahead of the off season. The reasonable way to deal with the roster issue is to hire a new coach to see if there is a fresh approach to the current roster and/or trade for the missing pieces. It's clear that Nurse has lost the bench (probably with his stubbornness NOT to play many of the bench players). With the same squad from last season, the record should be better than last year. Many of our bench players suffered and didn't improve much this season at all (Scottie, Banton, Flynn, and many others). It is cheaper to re-work and fine tune the roster than a full roster reconstruction. If even with the new coach and the record is lackluster next year, I would expect major trades before the next mid-season trade deadline. But besides Nurse, Fred still needs to go. He is approaching 30 and we need Scottie and our young talents to develop.
The championship that we won was not Nurse's creation. It was Casey, Derozan, Kawhi and the entire team. Pascal played a big role as well as vanvleet.
Nurse only reaped what Casey sowed.
Nurse has no emotional control. As a leader he cannot prevent players from choking. He doesn't control himself.
I have always wanted him to go. But the Raptors need to understand sports is not just about players. It is about the mindset and the culture. Why did fans attack Derozan's daughter and the front office said nothing? What kind of culture is that? We need to be better. Raptors uses to have a culture even if we were losing. That is what we need. If masai doesn't get it then he needs to go as well.

This was coming No Shock, Nick Nurse did play to many good young talent that Ujiri great mind for talent, and these young players thrived on other teams, we should all know there names, And mainly Nurse lost respect of the guys except for you know it Fred Van Vleet. Players at the end of the year presser aren't going to throw Nick Nurse under the bus, but 99% you could tell have Political answers no truth to it
Altough he used a short bench often not utilizing role players while OVER using his star players; his defensive strategy was excellent. He lacked some creativity out of the time outs, his approach was predictable and basic on the offensive side of the ball and he failed to utilize his weapons off the bench effectively and develop talent. This was most likeley his downfall here as some players may have reached their limit being benched for eternity voicing their opinions to management to make a choice. Hope Nurse lands well he should be in high demand and should fetch a decent contract, Wanna wish him well and Thank him for his time and effort he put into the team to win a championship.

I'm not going to bash Nurse but he did give me the vibe he was checked out at the end of the season. If that was the case there was no point bringing Nurse back. I also agree firing him alone doesn't fix this team, they still have holes to fill.

Hard pass on Udoka, Mazulla having just as much success with pretty much the same Celtics roster proves that the coach matters very little in the grand scheme of things. So it's a no to the coach who cheated on his wife.

Nurse needed to be fired in order for the team back NBA finals he was trouble a choch is the make us Play feel better about one self. Toronto Raptors is Very team with good Players, Flynn is a very good point guard if given the opportunity he will be a good leader as well positive mindset puting God first place in Jesus Christ name. The right decision was made in this regards let Fred Go save money, other players will fill the gaps, when players feel good about themselves. He that exalted him self shall be abase but he the humble himself shall be exalted said the Lord thy God.
Now Fred is in a bind. He’s looking for $30m plus a year. Not going to happen. He will ride out his last contract year with Toronto and the next coach will not be giving him 40 minutes of play. His stats will decline and the next contract will be even less than he is making now. Fred lived and died by the three. He had great games but also really bad games. Every miss was a virtual turnover. There were a lot of misses. His best bet is to find another team quickly before he gets more bench time.
Did the Houston gig disappear ? Really, the last few years were not good so why would Houston hire an $8m per year coach whose success is waining ? Houston may have woken up about what Nurse could bring to the team.
Let’s see what Klutch Sports can do for Nurse and FVV. The money agency that players and now coaches are gravitating towards for the big payday. The Raptors had a feeling of personal greed among its players this past year. Playing for their own contractual reasons.
I didn’t like the fact Nurse and FVV had the same sports agents. It seemed like a conflict.
Perhaps Nurse purposely did not play the bench players so that he would frustrate Massi and get let go with one year on his contract. Leaves the team with 8 mill in his pocket and heads to the team of his choice. Silent sabotage! His wife has ties to Texas so let's see if he ends up in that state.
