It’s sort of a small moment but it was a game against the Pacers in March or maybe April 2011. Nobody could get anything going late. Derrick kept forcing the issue, driving and getting fouled. At the end of the game he had to ice three free throws to I believe send the game into overtime.
It feels like nobody ever hits all three. The first one bounces out or the second one ends up being way short. Derrick calmly nailed the first. Then the second. And finally the third. Bulls win in OT. I’m not sure anymore on every exact detail, but that’s how I remember it. That was DRose to me. Will the team to victory. Do what it takes. Grind out a win. Make Chicago proud. Every night. Play like you want somebody to remember that game no matter how random 12 years later and have pride in what you did.

Surprised no one mentioning the buzzer beater in the regular season 2011-12 vs the Bucks

His floater to beat the lakers on Christmas in 2012
Idk there’s so many. It was just the trust that no matter what happened he’d somehow pull off the win for us with the ball in his hand.
