Really, I didn’t see anything wrong with it. He likes Sengun, wants to add more bigs. Like no shit we need more depth at the center position. This wasn’t a statement about Sengun like some people are trying to make it out to be.
Ime likes to run two big lineups and have different players that do different things so that he can have several looks for any situation. Horford, Robert Williams, Grant Williams, Daniel Theis all do different things and were on the Celtics of last year.
I don’t understand the mentality of praying on the downfall of your own player. You can’t hate him and his fans that much right?
Based on their comments on here I already knew Sengun stans lacked critical thinking but this is hilarious

No surprise. We need big body who can bang with bigger center. We even make DeAndre Jordan look like an all star.

thats what i had expected from ime, he is a defense-first coach, he had an elite defensive scheme with robert williams and al horford. so he will require a reliable rim protector at the team. his response was fair, he acknowledges senguns post game and passing but not totally sold on jokic/sabonis hype.
first option might be he starts sengun and sengun`s defensive effort and stamina/fouls will tell how much he gonna play, maybe 15 mins maybe 30 mins. and the second option is he will play sengun at the second unit or as a 6th man to let him dominate the offense against opponents bench and he does not get exposed against opponents starter centers or guards.
in either case, ime udoka will be a great coach for us.

That was obvious just from watching games this season. Sengun needs someone who can protect the rim for him. Praying for wemby. And this young core needs vets to help them all. Those things would have helped, but stone did what he did.
I agree and feel they really should have let Garuba play the PF spot more with a more traditional big man playing in the paint. Especially in matches where they have height and length, which is happening more and more these days unless the opposing team is playing a small ball center themselves like GS.
Sengun needs to be traded to the Warriors.

Tilman Fertitta is defensive about Udoka’s demands but approves the different types of bigs with a blink.
Stone looks towards Udoka when checking him, and looks away when approves what he says, so he too agrees of the different types of bigs.
I expect an Alperen trade in the near future.

Maybe referring to an athletic defensive big to give teams a different look.
Anyone who watched even a small amount of last season would recognize (1) Sengun is very good, and (2) we sorely need other options at C/PF. They are not mutually exclusive things.
