Trae Young scored 5 points on an abominable 1/13 FG in the 2nd half of Game 6

Trae was dominant in the first half with 25 points, but scored only 5 in the 2nd half on a dismal 1/13 shooting

    Ugh come on man

Can we not do this petty hater shit? Bad look with how well he played vs us overall

Could smell that 2nd half performance through my TV screen

Made up for it with those two throws off Marcus Smart

Bruh John Collins, wtf happened. This guy was looking washed and then turned into prime Collins hitting 3s and hitting post move shots.

Some of these misses were unlike him, I swear.

He missed these floaters near the rim, no pressure.

His defense on Marcus smart in the last 2-3 mins killed them

A lot of it was great defense by the C’s, a lot of it was Trae just trying way too hard to bring the Hawks back.

trae needed this game to be in boston

  9. I’m not gonna fucking criticize Trae, man. He’s an incredible basketball player. Dude elevates his game in the playoffs big time, kinda like Jimmy Butler. The team around him was damn mediocre, and they still almost took us to 7 games.

Took his team to the ECF the first time they made the playoffs (and got hurt vs the Bucks and missed 2 games). Sonned the Knicks and Sixers on the way there.

Got 30+ points against us the last 4 games …. and we’re arguably the best defensive backcourt in the NBA. Dude was abusing Horford in drop coverage especially.

Trae’s never gonna be a superstar; his size just limits his ability on defense.

But he’s a fucking ice cold monster on offense, man. Respect.

All his floaters were falling short he seemed gassed

this was not one of those cases where trae took a bunch of stupid ass shots and blew it. He was taking his signature floaters in the lane and getting nice looks from 3. Barely missed and rimmed out several times… frustrating

He played his ass off the whole series. Got tired towards the end and no one stepped up per usual. I will say we ended the year with a lot of confidence. We got a couple things to tweak but I’m excited for the off season

Shit just rimmed out the statline makes it seem like he was chucking bad shots

Trae wasn’t terribly efficient this postseason, but he still performed well overall and eliminated the stink from last year series vs the Heat.

Tonight he played like a top 5 player in the first half and shot terribly in the second half, but I appreciated that he never stopped attacking and shooting.

Trae started this postseason off very poorly and it looked like Miami all over again… but he didn’t shutdown or get scared but instead continued shooting/attacking.

His legs just completely died in the second half, but we wouldn’t have been there without him anyways and he really shouldn’t need to score 25 a half for us to win.

He played well this series regardless his teams got bigger problems than him missing these shots. He was making shit happen for the hawks despite his teammates shortcomings

I mean he was the entire offense especially with no Murray . Only so much he can do . At least he went out trying to win . I’ll take a star or superstar going 1-15 , 3-20 then a guy who doesn’t take any shots and doesn’t try .

Even with the bad 2nd half efficiency, I still think he played pretty well until the last couple minutes. His pace and quick decision playmaking kept Boston on their toes all night and kept us in it. Constantly went back and fourth. Atlanta lack of spacing and Boston’s shooting depth just showed up at the exact same time in the end.

Clearly a Celtics supporter with that stupid headline.

  22. hashbrown17

He was getting doubled and pounded, still created a bunch of offense for ATL.

Fuck off , waiting like a loser to kill the guy.
He was fucking great first half , celtics adjusted and he got cold . He had a great series.
