  1. Guys just remember that the raptors have been through the most in since the chip. They went through absolute hell. Lost most of their players slowly, still made it top 3 before lockdowns. Played another country. No fans, fans, no fan, fans. No one went through this. Not nhl teams /NFL teams nor MLB teams. And there is still something good that comes out of it every time

  2. Ujiri should fire himself. He made them all go woke in the bubble and got rid of solid players, and paid mediocre players.

  3. All the best for Nick Nurse,Thank you for everything, I hope nothing but the best for you.

  4. Yes the team is very selfish that’s Nick Nurse’s job to fix that and he couldn’t, leave no choice for Masai Ujiri but to step in and fired him. The team was just too much Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet. Raptors need this change and it’s not going to end with Nick Nurse, all the selfish players will not be here come next season.

  5. Nick will be just fine in Houston, great championship🏆 coach! Hope this works for us and we don't regret it next year, only time will tell.

  6. It should become more clearer over time that this firing had very little to do with roster that NN had to work with and more about NN's individual NBA coaching career goals ie money. NN seemed to be fostering an incredibly toxic work environment behind the scenes one where he's not communicating directly with many players in private, sending assistant coaches home without advising the front office, putting up a wall between assistant coaches and players, disregarding the front office's playing time-player development concerns, becoming increasingly unhinged and eventually quiet quitting a few weeks before the regular season ended. I find it very believable that Klutch Sports got in his ear and NN started to coach more so to get his guys better stats for upcoming contracts (especially his Klutch Sports brother FVV), while putting off the development of the younger and/or bench players, so that he may get fired and have the opportunity elsewhere for a bigger payday.

  7. Ujiri should've been the one fired, this POS GM is the one who went out and got a bunch of African under achievers,
cheap unsigned rejects , who have to go to the D League to learn how to play hungry BBall….Saicom, Anunoby, Precious, on and on. Toronto is not an African team, even tho the GM tried to hire all these (not NBA material) African wannabe ballers. Get rid of Ujiri, bring in some hungry American/Canadian players, not DLeagers we have to teach how to shoot, and not have 5 fouls in the 1st quarter like his most recent 7 foot piece of crap D leager

  8. Nick was a great coach and it's a huge loss. Toronto needs to get a Casey like coach which fits team with no ambitions. It's going to be another 50 years era just talks and dreams. I wish I was wrong, but I don't see raptors getting any star player soon.

  9. Nick is a great coach wish him all the best! I think you should take a hard look at yourself and the talent you gave nick to work with they didn’t have a big guy till end of the year a lot of talent is not there from the championship team maybe taking some of that spirit with them your talking after listening to this interview I am really sceptical of what they we’ll become in the next few years.
I really don’t believe you are the wizard you think you are! You couldn’t even articulate what your looking for in your next coach or what style you want to play Really
    I guess time will tell

  10. He fired nurse because the raptors were a diagrace. Plenty of talent, no heart, too casual in their performance. Right there with the clippers and timberwolves. Salute to masai for being frank about the problems.

  11. When GMs fire good coaches when a team underperforms it reeks of using them as a scapegoat to save their own behind.

  12. Pundits and experts are talking about all the Raptors who should be traded , yet they fail to mention how great the stsrters played. It was the bench guys who didn't do the job and thaat is Nuck Niurses fault because he refused to use most of hos bench players.. He was fired because of that. Masi signs 3 point shooters and nick refused to truist them becauser they were not Vets , while Barton had 1 good game but got plenty of playing time. Kawhi has made many coaches look great

  13. How about teaching aka making the players practice foul shots . Man , 18 out of 36 tries in final knockout game .A-team shooting fifty percent from the foul line belongs in grade school not the NBA .Raptors lost numerous games past season by one basket. . Practice shooting foul shots until muscle memory has it figured out . Practice !

  14. Nick Nurse's biggest issue was his lack of VISION:

    Lack of strategic planning:
A coach who lacks vision doesn't have a clear plan for their team, both in terms of individual player development and overall game strategy. They may lack a clear understanding of their team's strengths and weaknesses or a plan to address them.

    Poor communication skills:
Effective communication is everything for a coach, as they need to be able to clearly communicate their expectations and strategies to their team. A coach with poor communication skills may struggle to convey their message effectively, leading to confusion and miscommunication on the court.

    Inflexibility:
Coaches who lack vision, tend to be rigid in their approach to the game and unwilling to adapt to changing circumstances. They may be resistant to new ideas or strategies and may struggle to make necessary adjustments during a game.

    Lack of attention to detail:
Successful coaches pay close attention to the details of the game, including player positioning, offensive and defensive schemes, and other important factors. A coach who lacks vision may overlook these details or fail to notice important nuances that could impact the outcome of the game. It usually manifests in visible frustration without a solution.

    Poor leadership skills:
A coach who lacks vision struggles to inspire and motivate their team. They may not have a clear vision for success or a plan to achieve it, which can lead to a lack of motivation, commitment and trust from their players.

Nick Nurse is a wonderful (game day) x and o's coach.

However, he lack fluidity and VISION.
